It means that Sylvanas sits in a large armchair and strokes a cat laughing like “mweheehee”
Without a lich king controlling them, there’s no telling what the undead can be susceptible to. If the Forsaken can fall prey to old god whispers than any undead can, so long as they are ‘free’.
Do you have an example of a forsaken falling prey to old god whispers? Arthas couldn’t, that undead cult that was up to their neck in void magic couldn’t. Its possible but I dont know of any old god corrupted undead in lore. Maybe Sylvanus will be the first.
But will she grow a mustache so she can twirl it?
Old Gods can’t force undead to serve them. However, there’s nothing stopping Undead from willingly serving them and we have seen a decent chunk of Forsaken within the Twilight Hammer’s ranks.
And judging by how he handled Azshara, N’zoth doesn’t want slaves he has to dominate. He wants cunning and powerful servants who willingly advance his goals, not mindless pawns who can only do what he tells them.
With what we know of Sylvanas, in their her main goal in (un)life is essentially to attain immortality and avoid True Death, she’d be an easy mark for N’zoth to offer a Faustian bargain like he offered Azshara.
Because the old gods are void entities, the basis of their corruption is void.
The scourge and undead were specifically created by the Burning Legion, who’s main purpose was fighting the void
If anything, the basis of their corruption would be ignorance.
The void’s just a red herring.

Of course he’s in the loop, he’s her trusted first officer.
I think Sylvanas only loves him for his plot armor - because his is insanely good.
Her death hopefully, lol
Just sounds like this is what leads Nathanos and the fleet out to where Azshara opens up that huge hole that swallows both the Alliance and Horde fleets. He just happen to still have it on him as he got swallowed.
Also sounds like she knows that something will happen and that it will reveal who is against her. And that her lap dog will just go fetch like he’s suppose to.
Indirect manipulation, an old god speciality, should also not be ruled out… particularly when free-willed sentient beings are involved. It can sometimes be easier to trick an intelligent being than it is a beastlike one.
Actually forsaken are highly resistant to old gods corruption but not impossible to turn.
Twilight’s Hammer is full of Forsaken.
The way I recall it being described is the Scourge hear the Lich King’s voice in their heads, much as Death Knights still can, when Arthas/Nerzhul was Lich King his whispers were impossible to ignore (also why beings like Anub-Arak said they were finally free of him when we killed them), and as a result drowned out the nuisance whispers of Yogg-Saron. Yogg talked crap about it in the fight, saying kings die, and implying that once the Alliance and Horde removed Arthas, he’d be restored properly as the ‘death god’ in the world. Since the Forsaken are completely free, they are supposedly free will and no different from the humans. Whether or not Sylvanas is in their heads is a mystery but there is an angle there with Sylvanas having impaled herself upon saronite, and the ‘visions’ she had to lead her down the path she’s on.
We’re going down! Stay with the ship, I’m out! Where’s my escape pod?
The story has been simple, its the same repeated trope from when wow first launched.
Sylvanas: I am grand master chess player.
My guess:
Name checks out.
