It’s a giant mess for real. 90% the time it feels like I’m playing Street Fighter Turbo. This hardly feels like any pvp. It’s whoever hits first that wins on most situations.
Honestly I’m losing the interest with PvP for Dragonflight already. I was not hoping for a game of rock paper scissors.
My advice would be to keep trying different classes till you find what you like.
I normally play mage but lock has felt better to me for the last 2 expansions so I play that instead.
There’s no need to play something you aren’t having fun with. That defeats the purpose of playing at all.
I’m not sure where you get this sentiment from considering the huge amount of self healing in the game rn. Most classes have sufficient defensives and sustain to live through damage.

The pvp in df is already a massive step up compared to shadowlands. There’s a few outliers and things that need nerfs but overall game balance is way better.
Absolutely not. DF is beyond worse than SL
No one has played a single rated match in DF yet. lol
Casuals like me typically exclusively q 2s. But rn I’m just glad we have solo shuffle b/c I would hate to have to q 2s against ridiculously unbalanced classes like warlock tanks.

Help me out here. What exactly were you hoping for? A game where you log into your character then proceed to absolutely steamroll everyone in your path? A game where all other participants wave the white flag, lay down, and allow you to have your funsies stomping their guts out with no resistance whatsoever?
What is it that would satisfy you compared to what you’re experiencing now?
My brother in christ I am well aware that the first season hath no started. But if you take a look at the current state of classes and imbalances there’s beyond glaring issues that won’t be fixed.
I’m gonna go out on a limb and say DF is gonna be a major reality check for a lot of players. They played with gear advantages for 2 expansions and now gear is equalized and they no longer have that advantage over players so now they’ll cry that PvP is bad when they get stomped.
Yea- im not very impressed with PVP on this game atm at all…
df has potential, and they’ve made some steps in the right direction, but tuning needs to get done like asap.
Exactly this. If tuning was brought in, it’d be pretty great.
You’re just fighting better players than you should for your skill range. Wait until the good players get separated from the casuals and you’ll see it’s fine.
I really don’t think that’s as relevant as people claim. Anyone who wanted it got near max, or max gear anyway–which was eventually changed to only be a 3 ilvl disadvantage between each tier of rating. The only difference I notice is there’s less ‘my team are all frssh lvl60’s so we auto lose’ in BGs now.

It might not be but also you are gonna have people who were absolutely used to having that advantage over others who were less geared. Especially if they were relying on getting boosted.
Generally once you had full gear you were at an MMR where everybody else also had full gear so this doesn’t really make a whole lot of sense, unless the context was pugging random bgs or something.
