I got tired of being ganked so I quit a month ago even though I still have 3 months left on my account. I logged in last night and there were less than 20 60’s online.
I think I made the correct decision. I loved vanilla and it is amazing how much blizzard screwed this up.
I agree with most of your points I just wanted to make a side note that stalaggs faction imbalance was very apparent even after the launch settled. The transfers didn’t help but it wasn’t the catalyst
There’s just something about alliance that isn’t appealing. I was always and forever horde until I mistakenly allowed my friends to talk us into going alliance. Needless to say we’re all back on retail and classic is a side project
Oh so my friends and I have to pick a different server cuz faction caps? It’s not the faction cap stopping us. It’s just preventing us from rolling on the cool named server in our time zone. Hmmmm. Yea. No. That is forcing a choice.
Because that is what’s gone from the modern game. That is what was removed and makes the game feel souless.
Warmode is a prime example. Players wanted the popular pvp servers but didn’t want the pvp.
15 years of crying about their bad choice in picking a pvp server. what did blizz do? Removed the server type choice. Problem solved because choice removed.
Stop with this Bs that faction caps will do anything but hinder player choice.
All I want is classic to be as authentic as Orcishly possible. Warts and all. Players can choose what they do with it. Choices matter.
Wrong. Idc about queue times. I’m not ranking. I pvp for the pvp and nothing more.
Again. Wrong. I like pvp. I like back and forth pvp. I didn’t make my choice based on anything but what I wanted to do.
Wrong again. I play on Grobb. Allies have a slight pop advantage last I checked. Again. I didn’t make my choice based on anything but what I wanted to do.just so happened. Grobb is fairly even in pops.
I do think BC should be left in the player’s hands to change. Get together. Both sides. You want balance? Make it happen. Otherwise: #shutupandplay or #shutupandquit
A simple choice with huge impacts. Nuff said.
Problem could have been avoided by the majority of players rolling pve, which is where most of them belong. Servers like Sargeras and Malganis being so imbalanced for so long gave people the wrong idea of what it would be like.
Then you’re fine with authentic populations. No mega servers, no layering and if your server is full you sit in a queue. FTR, I’m fine with that as well.
Many of us have been doing what we can in the forums and everything else has to be through report/support.
We’re not that vocal and the sound they hear and see is some issues, but others claim there are no issues.
Take the P2 issue with camping. There was a resounding voice of complaints over camping on imbalanced PvP servers. Blizz decided to bump it up hearing about the issues.
For whatever reason, THESE COMPLAINTS do not register with them the same way. I think they see it, they just don’t have an answer or, currently, no answer is AN answer.
Absolutely. Especially after the hindsight showed us what it’s done to the game. Only reason some of us even accepted layering at launch was because it was with the understanding that it was temporary.
I’m all for leavingvthe gamebas is and if people can’t handle that? Move on.
We get closer to Vanilla pops with every locust that falls off this bandwagon!
Don’t think Stalagg is gonna get any of it minority faction back.
Stalagg was the target of that viral video where a rogue showed how camped the mountain was by horde randoms who were 70% of the server at that time. He even went to show that horde could sit AFK around brm safe because of the numbers.
People enjoy pvp but consistently being outnumbered or to fight, win and then get constantly caught out by a group or facing another player coming in to attack before you can even get reset isn’t fun. Also just being able to enjoy classic content without it being camped 24/7 for your faction.
I was originally horde on Stalagg. You could see the sad state of affairs coming from a mile away. So, we left.
After we left there were dozens upon dozens of opportunities for you all to take action and go to. I don’t mean reroll either. You could of transfered but instead you all did nothing claiming you would laugh at everyone when they realized they would be on dead servers and stalagg was still poppin.
Didn’t work out that way did it?
No sympathy for you lot. If you quit, you quit. The rest of your horde brothers and sisters thank you for their reduced q times.
You guys have such a fatalistic vision of things. I don’t play intensive hours per day/week, so maybe I didn’t see it coming like you did. But that’s not the point. The point is, I don’t see why it would be the player’s responsibility to maintain a balanced pvp server. We all know that this is impossible. Can Blizz do something about it, that is my question.
I don’t think Blizzard should subject more players to the minority faction Stalagg experience so they log in to just be farmed.
Server faction caps and faction queues could have helped at one point but too late now.
We’re on skeram and one of the big problems I see on “balanced realms” is how top heavy alliance is compared to horde. At least on the big servers. Most of the top horde guilds are on herod, skeram, and stalagg. Why would they leave those servers huge benefits for speed running. This means on the "balanced servers alliance dominate a lot of high end materials.
