Alliance heavy pvp servers have significantly lower populations than horde heavy ones.
Iâm just saying, servers get ruined because people leave them, not because they go to them.
Your comment made no sense.
Have you play Wow before now?
Theyâve never done anything about this in the entire 15 years this game has been around. The âsolutionâ they came up with in retail was to just get rid of PvP servers and introduce warmode. Do you know why that was necessary? Because most of the PvP servers had effectively become one sided PvE servers. This process is happening faster in Classic because the game has been effectively âsolvedâ.
Now, with all that said, what do you think Blizzard can do about this that would not just shift the burden from one player to another?
Alliance on certain servers get a 20% exp bonus. Alliance on certain servers get a 20% gold farming bonus (but canât transfer off). Give them a 5-10% damage bonus outside instances. Reduce Alliance racials outside instances. Balance perceived racial imbalances. Allow faction transfers.
Thereâs lots of things that can be done to try to promote realm balance. Itâs hard, because few things are as much of an advantage as being on the faction with more people. But the reason nothing will be done is because Blizzard doesnât want to do anything (and #nochangers support that philosophy), not because nothing can be done. You can incentivize realm balance without having to prevent people from playing with their pals.
So basically like the Wintergrasp buff but for the entire server?
Brah our server was ruined as soon as they let the casuals go en masse to heartseeker for free
They will not merge theyâll just at best offer u free xfers
be me, a horde on stallag
camp entire world and major cities to the point where if you are alliance you cannot play the game
angry that there are no alliance left on the server
Itâs almost like you all created the problem and now want Blizzard to fix it. How about u pay the $25 like the alliance players did and get on with your day you mook.
Faction transfer / Like one faction transfer / WHY NOT
Was it the people who left that had a fatalistic vision or did they open themselves up to new possibilities and opportunities? Wasnât it the people who left who ignored all the fatalists rhetoric from those too scared to take action in hopes for a better pvp experiance? I think you have it all backwards Emma and now you want big daddy Blizzard to bail you out of your bad decisions.
The ones who bolted are anything but fatalists.
Blizzard shot those realms in the arm with free unrestricted transfers and then shot them in the head with paid transfers.
Now you can pay 25 bucks to Rez.
That was my answer to the dude asking me to leave WoW. But how about one faction transfer per realm. Woulnât it worth the try?
Sorry to say, but Blizzard isnât going to merge servers or force people to do anything. Thatâs just too heavy handed of a change for them, and it opens up a slippery slope of more questions⊠Like which server is merging into which? Who gets to keep their names and who will be forced to change their names? Etc
The fact is, by adding paid transfers they gave anybody who wants it an option. Everyone who reads these forums at least some amount has an idea of what the âgoodâ and the âbadâ servers are. If youâre not happy with your server, talk to your friends about transferring to one of the better servers. For the cost of less than 2 months of sub time you can transfer and change your experience entirely without needing to reroll a new character
I love that you put out ideas instead of just yelling for Blizzard to fix it. It shows that you do care about the game.
However, those ideas have all been tried, and failed. I wouldnt be opposed to then, except history shows they dont work.
We had Tenacity buff during WotLK that made no difference, though it was fun as heck. I loved it.
We have Warmode bonuses to exp and gold/rewards.
Blizzard has rebalanced racials repeatedly.
We have merc mode.
We got rid of faction restrictions for characters on servers.
We still have this exact same scenario in retail.
None of it actually fixes the issue. The only thing that will, is actually preventing the players from benefitting from stacking a faction. Faction queue/population locks so balance is forced.
It doesnât prevent anyone from playing with their friends. It only means they have to pick the other faction or move to another server to do it. If they arenât willing to do that, they werenât really great friends to begin with.
not a blizzard problem.
paid transfer are available.
sharding multiple realm together is a retailâs solution, and we canât have retailâs solutions here.
Â>ÂWe are paying full price for a product that doesnât offer what we expect.
did you not expect classic, all of it, warts and all?
You deserve better! Lumos!
Their vision is the truth though. People donât roll alliance for pvp and this game is likely going to enter TBC where the global faction balance will be 90% horde like all private servers. I think playing alliance would have to be F2P to get more players.
Eh, not my decision to make. If more came over like me who enjoy pvp then of course I would be down. If all we get are the people who went horde because it is pvp on training wheels then no.
Since I donât have a crystal ball to let me know how this works I will take the status quo as it is now. Your lack of pvp isnât my problem and you have other solutions in front of you.
I suggest making yourself available to all of them and if none of those are effective then we can have a discussion about a change.
Horde were way too spergy AF on Stalagg. Getting Alliance back there will never, ever work. And if they did get Alliance back there, or they merged servers⊠Alliance would leave again because the Horde mentality is WAY too spergy. Yea its a PvP server, but you donât have to camp every flightpath in the game (even after WPvP phase is over). I still have PTSD Hearthing into Gadgetzan and no one is attacking us on the new server. But because at all time of the day on Stalagg Horde camped Gadget inside and out for months⊠I still fully buff, Barrier, Mana Shield, and always have invis pots JUST IN CASE. But nope, these Horde are retarded. Theyâll at least fight OUTSIDE of the Inn, and OUTSIDE of Gadgetzan. Fix the Horde mentality on Stalagg first before you beg for an Alliance population.
Would you transfer? If not, why do you think others will? At least in numbers large enough to matter.
Faction Transfer? I would, Why not, they could give funny gifts as incentive, or w.e. The only reason I choose Horde was that I wanted to play undead. Iâve no difficulty to play Alliance if it can make it more enjoyable (while not losing my progression nor paying Wow fees). Iâm sure bunch of friends like mine would do it. Itâs my opinion of course.
