Because removing it entirely is better for those who don’t wanna split pve and pvp.

No, the honor, conquest, cr and everything that comes with it is still there.

I have a pretty firm grasp of how pvp gearing has worked in recent seasons, and understand how the proposed change to remove the pvp slot from the vault can only really be an improvement.
He likes to think he knows everything. Keyword: think.

Pretty strange you want less rewards but to each their own. I for one would like more rewards more incentive to play not less.

Removal of PvP vault is compensated by increased conquest gain. They’re also doing away with the vault rng, which most people seem to be in favor of, but if you like the gear lottery then that’s fine, I guess.
The vault is a bar to fill that basically goes away half way through the season.
They should remove the toxic great vault. It’s a terrible system that caused angst in the community for several expansions. If you win the loot lottery your friends are left behind. If you lose the loot lottery it feels equally bad. It’s a lose/lose situation that can just be solved by having a Vendor and equipment you buy there for badges for everything. Instead of weekly chores for RNG with no catch up.
There’s plenty of catchup, though. Between sparks, crafting, rolling or outright removed conquest cap, etc, people can come back after not playing for months and hop right in.

Then remove PVE vault to because PVE can get sets faster than PVP and if its lottery like you claim, and not a reward for your work, then everyone will be ok with this to then, right? Or is it PVP only players.
I imagine they’d prefer to have it as good as we do with currency to target what they want, but they’re stuck with rng lottery gearing, unfortunately.
