PvP Gearing is MMORPG Progression and it's GOOD

Oozo and Kraigan are, at the very least, not the same account. This is a lie.
You’ve made some strangely bad lies here, what’s that about?

Couldn’t have said it better. It’s really as simple as this quote. If a gap truly needs to exist, it does not need to exist to this magnitude in instanced PvP. Plain and simple.

Reasonable gaps are fine. I think having some actual gear progression is good. There just needs to be outplay potential regardless of who is fighting who.

Static stat templates from Legion are unpopular but the 10 item level = 1% power gain from Legion was very good as it allowed gear from any source to be effective in pvp while keeping power creep under control. All they need to do is use something similar to that while allowing people to keep the stats they want. Scale the stats they have based on the item level of the gear.

The rogue’s gear (Semisonic) is mostly from mythic plus on both that rogue and their alts. I actually think it kind of sucks that their pve gear will be artificially worse in pvp in 9.1. I think that all gear should be good to use in pvp in terms of item level. I think that pve people should be allowed to use their gear in pvp

I think the game should try to accommodate all playstyles for pvp by using scaling to keep power gaps under control.

Keep gear progression. Let pve gear work in pvp. Using scaling on item levels to avoid huge power gaps. Give people who want to pvp but don’t want to do mythics, raids or rated pvp a pathway to being competitive in pvp (only).

This is the way.

Which have all worked to great success throughout previous eras.

It feels like those systems all worked to greater success than SL is what most people are saying, despite each having its own flaws, as well.

No one seems to be saying that one single system can achieve perfection.

Why stop at one when they all work so much better together.

Gotcha. This is me on my monk and me on Kraigan. I’m using a voice modulator to make it seem like its two different people.

Over rogue making hilarious wrong claims… Oh man that was an entertaining read. “Oozo reported” lol good stuff… Pvers with hidden profiles, just the worst

You sound like Collin, a notorious rbg kickbotter. sus.

I don’t get along with either of them but the ignore feature doesn’t work that way.

And while I personally like the current gear system, why is a 1400 player so hardcore against the change?? You personally cannot obtain my gear because you are bad at the game. Why would you like that system? Kind of weird bro. 99% of your gear is pve gear because you’re awful at rated pvp. You’re advocating for forcing people to participate in rated pvp for gear, while you yourself are unable and resort to scripted content for your gear.

@oozo - I may never agree with you but I won’t sit here and let some keyboard turning 1400 degen who drools on his keyboard, hurl insults at you.

But you can clearly see by my old man reaction speed that I’m not kickbotting, so it’s just a coincidence.

Well, I don’t like judging whether someone is generally “good” or “bad” at pvp based on a rating because a lot of that depends on whether the person has invested a lot of time and effort into it. Arena is different skill set than rated BGs. Random BGs/duels/World PvP is a different skillset than arena and rated BGs. There is a lot of crossover but arena and rated BGs are, ofc, more demanding.

I far prefer actually watching someone play to see how good they are.

If you have good awareness, reactions, and make good decisions that carries over to all forms of pvp and that stuff can be honed in any pvp format and even in entirely different games. A person who is generally good at pvp in one game will typically be good at pvp in a different game of the same genre.

Where things really start to separate is with knowledge that is more specific to different formats.

Yes, I checked the rogue out and he has several 60s all of which are mainly geared via mythic dungeons. I actually feel kind of bad for the guy that his pve gear will be devalued in pvp in 9.1. I think that is a bad change and that there are better solutions to the problem.

He does appear to have been carried to 1600 in RBGs on two of his characters. Getting 1600 with only 10 wins and a 38% win percentage isn’t typical. :stuck_out_tongue:

He still won’t take the olive branch…

This isn’t a good look for your credibility.

Also I can attest to the fact that these two are different people. I have played with Kraigan on multiple occasions, but I have not played with Oozo. Trust me, had it been Oozo I was playing with there would have been a lot more discussion surrounding he and I’s difference of opinion on multiple topics.

EDIT#2:

Oooz - UI setup question, the nameplates + debuffs + buffs = what mods?

It’s a mixture of a bunch of stuff, bits and pieces.

Dominos for action bars/tracking my cooldowns
RgsCT for interrupt/dispel info
Threat Plates for enemy nameplate/enemy cooldown use (right side of nameplate)
NameplateCooldowns for enemy cooldown availability (over nameplate)
ClassicNumbers (dmg numbers)

When exactly are you saying this happened? I didn’t hear people complaining about gearing in wod, when PvP gearing was actually equalized. And in Legion templates were so imbalanced that they were anything but “equalized gearing”.

Now the elites who have Ion’s ear and wanted the team with the best PvE gear to have guaranteed wins got that in BfA. So I’m not sure if you have any idea about the history of your little fiction.
