You get notified when your post gets flagged. That doesn’t mean I flagged them. I haven’t flagged any of your posts. Just stop.

Anyway, you’re in nearly every thread on this forum hard-core advocating for solo-only-casual-content BG’s to be equal/better than rated content, and repeatedly spouting the outright lie that “previously you could out gear rated content with solo content”
But it’s not true, and you wont defend the point in any of your ~2000 posts in this subforum… Every time someone says “prove it”, you insult them IRL or nod back to Horrific Visions(LOL) which still dropped worse gear than raiding/rated content did.
Oh, so now you want to talk equal when you were using the word viable? (more of your dishonesty - words have meaning). And even there, you would still be wrong. WoD gave everyone a path to BIS gear in PvP. Now, I suspect that you will say “but not for PvE” to which I will once again reply that you are in the wrong forum.

PvE represents over 80% of this entire game. You cannot have one without the other.
I have routinely used the word equal, as the gear options are equal from casual PvE to casual PvP. Both gate at 197. In fact, Honor ends up being better as weapons can’t upgrade via anima. Both to progress past this point require dedicating content.
You are viable at 197 versus other 197’s, 200’s, or 207’s… but you are not viable at 197 versus 220’s. The people who have dedicated the time to progress further on their character are stronger than your character. That’s how progression works in terms of gear.
WoD gave instanced based PvP gear scaling. You weren’t “equal”, nor “viable”… just temporarily as powerful as someone else. Honor gear was consistently 10-15 item levels behind Conquest gear. Both were boosted by 30~ ilvls in PvP specifically.
Specifically, Veteran’s gear was 670, boosted to 710 in PvP. Gladiator gear was 700 boosted to 730 in pvp.

You can actually readily verify by clicking on his name, hitting “view profile”, and clicking Summary. You don’t even need to use the search function. I did just realize you’re in his guild though, how boring.
He goes from thread to thread non-stop campaigning for casual BG’s to be a viable gear sourcing.
Or do you perhaps not perceive things like: Creating a thread called “Blizzard has decided to kill random BG’s” - in which he literally refers to blizzard “holding contempt” at casual PvP – as “advocating for solo-only-casual-content-BG’s to be equal/better than rated content” ?
Or do you perhaps mean things like, literally creating a thread called “Points of view on SoloQ” where he links a video advocating for solo-queue’s viability, and then goes on to comment about how he doesn’t care what “PvErs” think?

This one is actually true. PvE mentality players/developers are huge detriment to a decent gearing system for PvP.
I’m really not sure what your intent is here with this garbage. I kind of think that you are trying to incite one of us to break some kind of ToS and get suspended.
Being competitive does not mean equal gearing or out-gearing rated players.
That’s called projection. They only feel competitive when they outgear their opponent.

This is entirely incorrect. From s13 til WoD s3 you could get a full set of BIS conquest gear from doing random BGs. You didn’t get a big conquest cap but you’d be geared by the middle of the season if you capped each week which wasn’t too hard to do. In s15 for example the first random win of the day gave 150 conquest and 75 per win after that. You could also do wPvP dailies for 50 conquest a day. The unrated cap was only 1650 or so, so capping was entirely possible for anyone that ran random BGs. And the gear was no different than what gladiators wore. That continued into WoD too, where you could do Ashran as well for conquest without ever doing rated and still have BiS gear.
How someone that claims to be knowledgeable about PvP doesn’t know this is a little baffling tbh. Did you even PvP during MoP or WoD?
Why are you lying? First of all, that isn’t how these forums work. Each character is treated separately when ignore is used. There is no forum ID like there was on the old forums. Second, you can just look at their pets and see they are not the same person. It’s like forum detective 101.

Really, I mean, I don’t even have my profile hidden like the person throwing out the wild accusations…
You can see we have different achievements, earned on different dates, etc, etc etc…
Just be careful, as you know when this sort of thing is looked at, I highly suspect there are no good or bad posters with regards to intent and zero context is going to be factored in.

Literally one expansion ago, you could random BG your way to just one tier behind the best rated gear available- and that was with a scaling system that further mitigated the difference.
The gap doesn’t need to be as large as it is now. I’d argue that it doesn’t need to exist at all.

And visions gave gear that was 5 (pre-squish) item levels below the best you could get from mythics iirc. A solo player that geared from visions was totally viable against people in best in slot gear.
In BFA, there was also good crafted gear that you could use.
They went through the game and removed every avenue possible to getting some gear that doesn’t require raiding, mythics and/or rated pvp. That is an intentional game design decision.
