Um, any tried stacking dynamite embellishments? Don’t want to do the textbook weapon one
Yep! 100%
This current system really gives the best of both worlds. There’s a sense of progression, you see and feel your character get stronger, the gap is never so huge so as to give an unfair advantage, everyone has the same access to the same gear in the same modes, and when it actually matters (i.e. after the first month or so), everyone is caught up and at the same spot.
you know you can use bronze tier materials and it scales to best in povp so its not that much i made my weapon with less than 5k gold
In all your text you fail to provide an objective reason why we need to have different ilvl scale b/t honor and rated
-
You said it’s a requirement for MMO’s: FF14, GW2 and even GW1 have flatcapped pvp stats in some way, Frontline, SPvP etc
-
You said that you NEED to feel stronger over time: You already get that because we’re stronger than last season
So unless you can provide an objective reason that can’t be debunked,
I’m going to continue to call y’all out that you just want to stomp people without rated gear.
You’re going to do that no matter what I say.
There’s the door.
bro just use bronze tier matterials cuz it scale to best in pvp, 5k to make my weapon is cheap
Who is doing this? I’m never going out of my way to ever Q into people without gear and realistically never see that happen, even when im full geared.
You can checkpvp all my toons; i haven’t even purchased a single piece of conquest gear or even gemmed/enchanted my honor gear. I’m still Qing and winning games and I have not lost a single game because I was behind on gear.
I’m going to continue to ask for you to defend your point and you’re mad and telling me to go away.
Sounds like you do have a reason other than what i listed
Me and my pvp fellows disagree.
A WSG that becomes a GY camp in 30 seconds following a gear based slaughter is unfun to us. Enemy healers 4 tapped.
15 minutes to do nothing or run flags on an empty field
Everyone but new players
Then we read about people complaining about pvp being dead
And pretending that fighting rated players stomp casual modes is not an awful experience
Okay, but I qd into a 5stack premade (presumably, they were same server and 3 & were same guild) and we were playing alts in questing gear trying to get honor and still ended up gy farming and 3-0d a twin peaks.
That had nothing to do with gear; literally the opposite. They just weren’t good players.
Sounds like you’re enjoying your advantage o.O
Id say the vast majority of people with rated pvp gear just use it to play rated pvp, where there are SIGNIFICANTLY fewer casual/undergeared players.
Again, most rated players are not doing this.
Stop with this erroneous strawman narrative that new players all come in at the end of the season when eveyone is fully geared and somehow Qing a random/epic bg. That’s not happening.
So i must have imagined the 950k hp holy pally end of season 4 who i blew up in a Kotmogu and was unable to even get to her allies as i had 1.5m as a dps killing her in 6 seconds
So what you’re saying is, there actually is a big barrier to entry to new players or alts because they aren’t coming in.
Skill issue, I fear
I had 989k as a fully geared boomy, so that’s not that far off.
In a bg?? With damage buffs?? And more than 2 dps per mode?? You don’t say
That’s not what I’m saying. The vast majority of people do it, don’t complain, and don’t have any issues. Don’t twist my words to suit your complaint.
Uhhhhhhh full rated gear was WAY MORE than 950k scaled up season 4 DF
Literally a month ago
Bottom 20% IQ players like this are why we lost pvp vendors in legion.
“The vast majority” ends up being yourselves rather than people actually coming in interested in PVP.
I’m going off this statement from the preponderence of evidence there is that pvp participation is way lower than past xpacs
Y’all created an echo chamber of PvP veterans. And your feedback are the echoes.
“This is fine”
I don’t think my ttk on an undergeared holy paladin being 4 seconds due to gear, was fine
Only for certain classes. Dks/locks had the most because of passives on their trees. Druids were on the lower end at 989k. Most had arpund 1-1.1million. Also fort buff obviously plays into hp as well.
It isn’t, though, because when gearing really IS fine and people blame gear when the problem is actually their play are NOT interested in pvp, they’re looking for an excuse why they lost. If you want we can do wargames and I’ll use my unenchanted green geared toons and you can use your geared characters if you’d like!
Show your data that shows pvp as a decline relative to the playerbase.
Further, pvp IS a minigame within wow that is largely pve. If they REALLY wanted to incentivize pvp, they’d make it give pve gear like in shadowlands, which had an explosive spike in participation, but was also widely hated.
4 seconds for a team to react and a player to press a button is also totally fine. Players HAVE to be able to die in pvp. The game is not too fast by any stretch of the imagination, and if a bg full of geared players attacking one person takes 4 seconds to kill them in a game as complex as wow, I’d say that that means the game is too slow, not too fast.
Projecting. You couldn’t possibly make me mad.
I’ve done this many times already, in many different threads. I’m not doing it again here.
At any rate, I doubt it’d make any real difference (it hasn’t in the other threads), seeing as you are incredibly biased and won’t listen to reason.
If you dislike WoWs end-game PVP gear progression so much, then why are you here? You rattled off a list of “Superior” games. Unsub and go play one of them?
They have ways around being farmed in random BGs by people like you and your “Friends” (cough premade cough) who feign to care about others and their enjoyment of the game.
You literally come to the forums to give moralizing lectures about “Fairness,” chastising people who enjoy gear progressions in RPGs, while - ironically enough - being the very nuisance you so despise. You project your feelings onto others, saying “The only reason you like gear progression is to over-power others.” You mean this is what you do, this is how you feel. You basically just revealed this.
“I totally didn’t enjoy GY camping them; in fact, I was off in a corner somewhere, crying for them - no cap. I was begging and pleading with my team mates to stop the senseless GY camping, all the senseless violence, because they were wrecking the new player experience - but they just wouldn’t listen. I was powerless. What could I do? So I joined them.”
This is what I heard:
A bunch of feigned concern for others. Please. What a hypocrite.
If you were actually concerned for them, you’d give them really helpful advice - like how to gear up while avoiding people like you, who are creating the very problem you seek to address.
Yeah. And they’re wrong.
You want to rephrase this garbled nonsense?
This, 100%.
Yep.
The “Preponderance of evidence” you can’t show, of course.
In other words: It’s how you feel.
The system you are for allowed me to send someone to the GY in one Divine Toll+FR+Empyrean legacy. 4 seconds.
Dead.
Because of gear disparity.
That’s the game you want.
Literally a sociopath at this point not caring about other people’s gaming experiences instead of just being fine with an even pvp ilvl in instanced pvp, and no disparity b/t rated and honor in instanced or in WM.
Can’t help you anymore buddy.
