They could at least give people an indication as to whether they are even looking into anything TBC related… A straight up “No” is better than months and months of dead silence

These threads make me laugh. Like any of you would go to a server with an opposite faction dominating.
You’d just herd over to Netherwind/Benediction for ally and Herod/Sulfuras for horde.

Wouldn’t PVE to PVP server transfers kill all the pve servers? Right now there’s only pagle and mankrik with healthy pops but if those folks could go to greener pastures wouldn’t large numbers just…leave?
That is literally what I want to do. I have a character stuck on a PvE server, while the rest of them are on a PvP, I only play on the PvP and essentially haven’t even logged on to the PvE one. Moving that character over to PvP would be me moving alliance from a 65-35 ally dominated pve server to a 70-30 horde dominated pvp server that I play on.
Believe it or not, some people aren’t trying to game the system and actually just want to play their characters on the server that their mains/guild/friends are
Actually if this is allowed, do you see how much money Blizzard will make? My TBC guild went to a PVE server. No going back to PVP realms, why is this a thing again?
Regardless people will be trapped. Honestly I give it 2 months until the super realms will become raid logging servers. Alts will be capped. You’ll have to buy tank/heal services I’m sure of it.

from what i remember the reason they dont allow pve to pvp transfer isn’t to do with leveling it’s about being able to easily stockpile resources without the fear of pvp and then transfer stockpiles to a pvp realm. Not that i agree that’s a valid reason with all the bots around ruining the economy anyways just that’s what i remember the reason being.
i 100% support this i am on earthfury alliance and the server is dying a lot of my friends are on pagle server but i dont want to be permanently barred from pvp server because i wanted to xfer to play with my friends if things didnt work out which is starting to seem probable

Well yikes! They all stopped and my server has no arena player base, so, what are my options;
Stop playing
or
Invest another few hundred hours into another character

Why do people address a forum of regular players as “Dear Blizzard…” ?
Should you decide to roll a new character, I’ve been having a lot of fun grinding leveling and heroic dungeons in this Dungeon Leveling guild. I highly recommend you join or create one, if you go that route; there seems to be a lot of people who enjoy this.
I’m close to having a 4th lvl 70 character (about half a level away) on a pvp server… the amount of times i’ve been ganked while levelling: 1
This notion that PVE transfers should be restricted to PVE only is ridiculous, you are still PAYING THE SAME AMOUNT OF MONEY to transfer, while only having ONE THIRD OF ALL THE SERVERS AVAILABLE TO YOU

They’re going to get absolutely wrecked when the person swaps to their main or defense arrives.
The main problem with PVE->PVP is that it mixes playstyles and thats why we have Retail today.
And they’re going to flood LFG/General Chat with their crying over PVP.
Another bump… this restriction may have had some merit back in 2005, when servers weren’t complete ghost towns in level 1-58 zones and people weren’t just paying a mage to boost them til max level. Now its completely irrelevant. This “threat of pvp” nonsense is paranoid delusion.
