Tell me more about how hard it was to level on benediction as alliance… Frankly, you had it easier since you had layers which NONE of the PVE servers did. If you had anything contested in any way, shape, or form you just “invite for layer” for a fresh layer with no competition and all new mobs/resources.

I would actually put time into toons that now collect dust which I spent a significant amount of time in during Classic. I’ve been saying for months that I would be willing to pay $100 to transfer (obviously absurd) but anything to get the hell off a dead PvE realm.
Although, I’ve already spent a good amount of time on the characters that are already on a PvP server…so at this point it doesn’t bother me. But if it were to happen, I would transfer all of my PvE toons immediately, lol.
I hope this happens. Just seems right, seeing as times are different. Let’s break some barriers, Blizzard.

I just want to add my voice to the lot. The current server population makes it very hard to find a new guild, and new recruits as well. Cutting off options by slicing the player base in two doesn’t sounds like it’s going to help. As the restriction was lifted originally 12 years ago, I don’t see any point in having it now.
Please blizzard, lift the restriction ASAP.

I don’t agree with that. Pve servers have their place… If you genuinely cant stand pvp… which the way I see it, most people these days dont like wpvp, meaning there will still be plenty of people who just stick around on the big pve servers. this just gives people who rerolled off of a pve server, the chance to play those characters again on their current server.
anyone stuck on a pve server who wants access to a higher level of progression will leave
anyone who wants to be on a mega server will leave
pvp doesn’t even enter the equation anymore
I guess. But its happening anyways so whats the point of holding back? the big mega servers are like this big popular club everyone has access to now except for people in pve servers. Its kinda crappy tbh…
I rarely agree with Zalanii these days but in this case, if you care about the current PVE servers, you should be concerned.
Even people on these forums on PVE servers have said they’d go to Bene or whatever for a bigger player pool (or more to get fast groups as fast groups are > everything else to some people). These servers are already basically PVP in label only.
Just had another friend resub yesterday, move a character over to Bene and then tell me how boring that server is, with absolutely no prompting the discussion from me, but a lot of the people who still play now want that so that’s how it is. So it’s not a big popular club it’s just a bunch of people who want fast groups with randoms they’ll never talk to again. Since nobody gets to know anybody there is a big but there’s no popular, they are pretty much lobby game servers like Retail.
idk, it just seems unfair to me to keep people on a server they dont want to be on with an archaic restriction. But thats just my 2 cents.

If people want to move, let them? Why restrict and force them to stay on PVE server? Those that want to stay will stay. Those that wanted PVE but couldn’t may transfer to PVE if the restriction is lifted.

Is anyone aware of any movement on this issue? I was about to transfer 4 characters, taking advantage of the sale. But, just ran into the can’t transfer from pve to pvp server error. 
Who knows, Blizzard tend keep any form of internal discussion completely hidden and then just randomly announce a massive change a day before it is to take place.
For all we know they could be in the meeting room passionately debating removing this restriction OR (more likely) 95% of them are unaware this restriction even exists.

No, Roll on a PvP server if you want PvP. Dont level to 60 or 70 on a PvE server and then come over to a PvP server because you were too afraid to play open world PvP in fear that you would get ganked.
Yeah, the discount is for a limited time (but they do transfer discounts pretty often)
TLDR: PVE servers were awesome when i could go to raid, farm, and save myworld buffs. Now server is dead and want to be pvp players, even though no pvp realms have wpvp.

Funny to see these restrictions still standing when basically all PvP servers (barring Firemaw and dead realms that are 100% balanced because there are literally 0 players there) are mono-factioned.
