I don't get the outrage. I've lost track of the humanoids I've happily purged for 1,337 EXP and 3 sp... on both factions.
I said Closely tied but maybe I misspoke, they are still allied / helping horde. So killing some random foxes in their huts here and there before they actually get assistance from the horde in larger numbers may seem beneficial to them. Who knows? It all barely makes sense in the first place. just stating that killing off anyone willing to help the horde, no matter the numbers, would be easier to kill before they merge with them and get aid from the horde.10/23/2018 01:25 PMPosted by Cognyack10/23/2018 01:12 PMPosted by KitëIn a way, it makes sense though since they are closely tied with the horde
No they aren't. They are loosely tied to the PC and Rastakan loyalists of Zandalar. Not even allies, just friendly natives that like to get outsiders to collect delicacies and treasures for them to enjoy.10/23/2018 01:12 PMPosted by Kitëtrying to dwindle their numbers as much as they can.
Unless they have a huge secret underground lair completely cut of from Ghuun's taint they they don't have numbers. The Zandalari don't even have numbers between the Blood Trolls and Zul taking a good chunk of the population into rebellion.10/23/2018 01:20 PMPosted by MilkshooterWhat many people don't know is draenei are deathly allergic to foxes.
So that explains why the Vindecaar is MIA. They've gone back to Argus to find Velen some Claritan.
Honestly though, from the sounds of how much death there's been in large numbers, It's a wonder either faction even has the numbers to want to wage large scale war anymore. All Allied races should barely have any numbers at all. Kul'tirans being probably the most populace , possibly tied with Zandalari's in terms of numbers since the Drust issues.
10/23/2018 11:37 AMPosted by Dîomedesone of the leadership would approve of trying to wipe out a neutral race and this comes from an incursion so its obviously from leadership.
Well apparently they are and did.
No more whining from the Alliance about who's 'evil' finally.

It's true we are quite the murder hobos but sometimes things are just beyond what people are willing to ignore. Or we get to a point where we've stopped tolerating it. It's not a big deal if you can simply skip the quest or it has no impact on the story. See Tauren brother and sister quest in Stormheim. There's a reason why I've only done it on one character. Also stupid bear liver quest in Azsuna. No that will not cure you and your people Prince Farondis!! !#$@^%@$
Then you get ones you can't skip. I was ticked over the quest to kill raging furbolgs in Val'Sharah. Not even two steps into things I get a quest from a non raging furbolg to find his son who then goes on to tell me what's causing the furbolgs to be all angry. One named furbolg down and suddenly every red mob is yellow. Problem though. I still have to kill my xx number of furbolgs to continue on the main quest chain. That's what happens when you don't look at how you get from point A to point D.
I'm not going to argue that it's morally justified or anything like that, but this isn't real life. This is a story. And people in stories do bad things for a variety of reasons. The big thing I'm looking for is consistency in terms of character journeys. If your big complaint though is that the Alliance is doing something reprehensible then I say, "well it's about time."10/23/2018 01:31 PMPosted by Thorlandf you're robbing a house and kill the homeowner I don't need context as to why you killed them. Sometimes things are just bad no matter how you try and spin it. No amount of context will make this look good. Much like Sylvanas burning Teldrassil. No amount of context will ever make that not evil and not stupid.
So, I took five minutes and came up with a plausible scenario to drive the Vulpera into the arms of the Horde for good without turning the Alliance stupid-evil:
Priscilla Ashvane escapes prison after her henchmen blow a hole in the wall using azerite bombs (which the henchmen have been harvesting from azerite sites, per world quests). She travels in secret to the Ashvane pirate compound in southern Vol'dun. Under Priscilla's leadership, the pirates build a new fortress and expand their operations in the zone. They come into conflict with the locals, fighting the Vulpera over resources like water and enslaving them for labor in the Ashvane azerite mines. Priscilla aims to rebuild her fleet and take the fight back to Boralus with more powerful azerite weapons.
Because of the Ashvane, the Vulpera come to associate all humans with piracy and shun them and those who associate with them, even those actively working against the Ashvane.
Horde get their Vulpera, Alliance get to not engage in pointless genocide, and Blizzard's writers don't have to pull a surprise villain out of their butts to explain the Alliance losing its damn mind.

Rollo, I'm impressed. Not only does this seem plausible, but you came up with an apparent win-win in less than 10 minutes.

Like the Tortollans?
What about Khadgar? He's pretty chummy with the Horde.
I heard Jaina had a thing for Thrall back in her younger days. What is she hiding?
Might as well attack the Earthen Ring and Cenarion Circle too. Filthy neutrals!

What are you even talking about? The alliance isnt invading horde strongholds in this conversation. The alliance is sending purge squads to kill a neutral race.
Man, some of you Hate-Everything-WoW crowd aren't the quickest bunnies on the racetrack, eh? The vulpera are allied with the Horde...y'know, seeing how we earn reputation with them? They aren't in the faction fully at the moment, but they're still on our side. The Alliance will be attacking them because of those ties.
Think, bro. A --> B --> C. It won't hurt much, I promise.
If this were the case then the alliance would have brutally murdered the Panderans as well seeking to wipe them from existence. Or what about the same Sethrak that we allied with also being allied with the Horde? We killing them too?
Did we get a link yet?
I only have a certain amount of outrage to go around.

This bugged me too. Like...when did Jaina kill a bunch of people? When Horde was murdering their way through Stormwind to free Talanji and the Prophet? When she bombarded Undercity after Sylvanas already blighted her own !@#$ing army? Theramore, while standing in the crater the Horde had just turned it into?

10/23/2018 11:24 AMPosted by AwbyThe only explanation I have for most of BfA's story is that they are going 100% all-in on trying to make the faction war seem as stupid as possible so that they can break down the faction barriers partway through or at the end of the expansion.

Where was the consistency when we went from being the numero uno heros in Legion, pretty much as neutral as you could get, to once again blindly following orders from the Horde and Alliance? Yes, we aren't canon but it won't stop be from saying "That is !@#$ writing". And I do take issue with the Alliance, and even the Horde, doing something so reprehensible because WoW has always been about us, the heroes, fighting the big bad guys. And to the part about this isn't real life and it's a story. That's not a good defense when one of the novels in WoW's lore is called War Crimes and we killed a warchief over it.
Didn't she slaughter a bunch of Sunreavers and Blood Elves in the streets in the days following Theramore because of her "no Horde in MY Kirin Tor" shtick?10/23/2018 02:13 PMPosted by Sevaryn10/23/2018 11:43 AMPosted by LathanderRexxar giving a weak motivation of Jaina killing too many people. Nah they are trying to set the bar for worst writing ever in hopes of getting a new category instituted so they can win that coveted Raspberry Award.

Idk I'd still consider that more civil than the smallest horde aggression tbh.
The horde blow up cities, burn down entire civilizations, plague cities, genocide on races and blow up schools.
The horde has already set the bar really high so killing a couple of furry goblins really doesn't mean anything.
Didn't she slaughter a bunch of Sunreavers and Blood Elves in the streets in the days following Theramore because of her "no Horde in MY Kirin Tor" shtick?

Yeah that's like the only thing I can think of. And even then it was a full-on civil war that happened because of a treason plot that nearly resulted in the complete destruction of an entire continent, and which the Sunreavers were actually privy to.
Also it happened several expansions ago? Which doesn't really justify anything, but makes me wonder why Rexxar flipped his !@#$ now and decided it was acceptable to massacre a neutral town.
