Does someone maybe with a blue writing ability want to explain how pre-purchasing a DST in a HR run isn’t the same thing as GDKP? Maybe also work in how holding a gold raffle if DST drops in a HR run isn’t the same thing. It’s literally just people using purchased gold to buy items. It’s the SAME thing.

They buy a raid carry and just happen to have DST HRd to them as well. Thats how it is treated by blizzard. Raid carries are allowed.

one involves you HR the item, grabbing 24 other people and selling it at your discretion.
the other involves making X amount of people bid on the item through GDKP, making people likely to buy even more gold to be the highest bidder.
so, when someone loses the bid on DST for let’s say, 25k and the highest bidder pays 50k.
That person that bid 25k goes, well i need another 25k to be the highest bidder.
“Hello, local Gold seller? Yeah, i need another 25k on order please”

This is the correct answer. If you want a DST , HR , for yourself, host your own. If you want to pay gold for someone to host and HR you the DST, then do that . In any case, open roll DST gruuls is a myth, and if it dropped you best believe it wont be rolled open.
Take the initiative,we all have just one lock a week for it. Make a run for yourself, HR it, lead it, and that is your reward. If i want a DST, I can’t rely on someone else to host it, raid lead it, SR list it, and just out of the goodness of their heart give me HR on DST.
Also i can think of so many better things to do with gold than buy a DST anyways, like, get a teebus and be super duper coolio, or like, 20000 deviate delights or like make a lvl 19 WSG twink with all the bells and whistles.

It is totally different from GDKP.
In GDKP, all the members in the group get a fair cut.
In this “HR then sell” group, the lead gets all the gold, and the rest of the group get nothing.
The anni players in this forum seem to prefer the 2nd one and hate GDKP. Interesting.

That’s not what the HR runs are. They’re players Pre-Purchasing a DST. It’s not nearly the same as a player winning then selling, it’s entirely set up for a player to use gold to purchase a raid.
Buying/selling services is allowed still.
They are buying a raid carry and the lead is reserving the item for them. That’s how it’s technically allowed even though its just buying raid loot. Been happening every day since anni servers launched and people entered MC.
So it’s fine for people to use RMT to buy gold and use that gold to buy items as long as the gold isn’t shared among the raid after a bidding event? I fail to see the sense in this. The runs are still checking all the boxes for the GDKP. Using mental gymnastics to justify it doesn’t make it any better. It’s LITERALLY the same thing.
It is GDKP. Report them and they will be banned.
