Wowhead is not just ‘some site’ they pay very close attention to any significant changes when it comes to Blizzard and the PTR. The moment there’s a new build available on the PTR they are right on top of it.
If there was a change to that item, they’d already be discussing it.

We’ll just have to see how it works when it comes out. But the only aspect of this that matters to Blizzard is the time gating aspect. What Blizzard should really do is shorten the time gate, and allow multiple options. It does not have to be just pathfinder, or just purchase. Allow multiple options for flight. Single character, account wide, etc.
I know and that is what I was pointing out to the person I responded to.
In fact quite a few people in the ptr did not know about this possible change to SL flying.
They’ve had plenty of time to clarify, if it was a miswording.
This is a test. They’re floating the idea to see if they can get away with doing it without a ton of people quitting.
The PTR has been available for weeks now. Long before this announcement was made. You can test yourself on the PTR servers. YMMV
Blizzard’s marketing announcements don’t always have the most up to date information either. Sometimes it is like they they are written weeks ahead of time and changes are not applied.
Stuff can only be datamined if it is included in the data of a PTR or Apha/Beta build. You seem to agree with this, the other poster was saying this, but you have been arguing a semantic point that data can be on the PTR and datamined while not yet being “on the PTR” for live testing.

No. He wasn’t. I literally posted exactly what he said. 
I pointed out he was wrong, because he was belittling someone over saying you can’t datamine unless it’s on PTR.

You’re defining “on the PTR” as “live for testing”. They are saying “on the PTR” in terms of the entirety of data that is downloaded.
I’m against a pathfinder system AND charging gold for it. One or the other, I don’t really care which. But both is crap. Especially if the Gold amount is like 100k or something. On each toon? Gtfoutta here.

No the current info from Blizz if not a typo would add a purchase cost along with pathfinder for shadowlands
This could play out sooo badly.
If its a certain mob or groups of mobs that drop this new currency. Camped nonstop by one faction or the other denying access to the opposite faction.
They wouldn’t do that… would they?
