There’s a massive player loss everytime Ion farts, if the rumours are to be believed.
He had better avoid beans–and cabbage for that matter.

I’ve been in the mmorpg community since 2000 with EQ. This is wrong.
Casual is a combination of both time and content. The only people who say otherwise are hardcore players who play less now trying to appear like the average Joe. Everyone knows this.
If you were only running 8 keys for your KSM, you either paid for your KSM or you aren’t casual.
You can write long walls of whatever you want. You’re not a casual player.
Firstly, I’m going to state I have not touched 9.1 content, so by all means dismiss my response if you choose. I’ve read up on the changes and I am a casual solo player now for the most part.
Yes, Torghast can be rough on certain specs and classes. Starting 9.0 I was a sin main. Early on Torghast was rough. My issue wasn’t the bosses I could down them quickly but there were times just getting to the bosses was a nightmare with with sin’s lack of good aoe and rogue’s poor Torghast powers at the start.
It’s week one. You still need to gear, of course it’s a slower pace but that’s where group finder can be helpful. There’s plenty of solo players in your same situation you can make groups. Other casuals can help one another. This really isn’t the big deal you are trying to make it out to be. Am saying this as one like you.
This is what happens when you allow a Elitist Thinking Raider in charge of the decision making process. (imho)
The game has always been raiders or die so you’re either looking through rose tinted glasses or haven’t been playing long.
Or craft or untimed heroic dungeons that provided the average player with actual gear progression beyond the first week. You have selective amnesia.
The Torg upgrades significantly improve the solo players experience, so I’m not sure what you’re whining about.
This isn’t a thing, especially for “casual/solo players”. Sounds like you’re just parroting somebody else’s opinions
Heroic dungeons are still not timed. Even mythic zeros aren’t timed. Mythic plus gives you loot and a chest even if you bomb the key.
Keep making excuses.
I’m pretty convinced some people simply won’t be happy until they can walk in to an instance in their RP grey-quality gear, one-shot everything like a god, and walk out with full BiS gear.
yes. if something is too hard for you, the answer really is to get good, or do it on an easier difficulty.
Neither of those modes give you any gear progression, though. Way to continue living in denial. No one has to justify their preferences to you.
Lol what? The vault gave you 226 just for completing a 14 or higher without a timed requirement. If you completed all
Keys at 5/10/15 you could upgrade your gear to certain levels.
That’s literally gear progression right there.
Heroic dungeons aren’t supposed to give good gear.
Mythic 0s on Tuesday will award 226.
The only one in denial here is you.
Sounds like excuses for wanting gear without participating in the actual game.
And they hide behind being a “casual”
And ironically since he’s been the game director (and the decisions are more than just him of course) the game has vastly shifted away from raids only and started producing a large amount of alternate progression, alternate gearing sources, and world content/solo gear content sources.
Casual means less play time on me. What was 1 completed Mythic+ in a week during Legion and BFA? What is 4x completed Mythic+ in a week in Shadowlands? That’s too easy Casual. Torghast too is easy. Layer 9 is just under 20 min. If you are smart, you know this is being done in a group from the random group finder not solo. Solo is doable but long. You know Casual players wants short games.
My issue with 9.1 is I have to raid to get those Shards of Domination. I am now adjusting my time to include 6 Raid Boss Kills per week.
What I like about modern WoW is that it’s Casual friendly. I dont need to play 24/7 to reach AoTC and KSM.
I understand. It needs skills to do dungeons. It takes time to develop it. I developed such skills long time ago when I was a hardcore WoW addict back in the days. Now, I am super Casual but I retained my skillset for dungeons though and current WoW dungeons are way more dynamic which is honestly way more fun to me.
Family -first now. Work in the day. Play few hours at night before sleep. Reserve weekend for family stuffs. I remember I skipped a week of WoW back then for Vegas family trip. And this weekend, we’re going to Disneyland. LOL. Hey, I am Casual with WoW. Take it easy guys. Time-gate is in my side. While I am away, you are not allowed to grind the new stuffs 24/7.
How do you get to a 14 or higher without timing it or getting a carry/boost? I’m just going to put you on ignore now. The mental gymnastics you’re going through to try and invalidate others’ opinions is just too insane.
They have this really cool tool in game called LFG. You should try it out. You can join other people’s keys and do them.
Not to mention you get loot from the vault just for completing a key that you can progress up to better gear for higher keys.
End of the day you’re just making excuses.
Typical response when proven wrong and can’t come up with an actual rebuttal.
You mean how you made a false statement and were proven wrong?
Wrong, casuals and solos aren’t forced to recraft at all. How will they even get 5 domination shards to care whether they can only wear 4 at once? And even if they did, what content are they doing that is so tightly tuned that you will wipe if you don’t have that 5th shard?
It will be completely possible to get CE with no one in the raid having more than 4 shards. And CE is the definition (well, one of many definitions) of not casual!
You think that someone who has never timed any lower rank of key all season will get invited to someone else’s +14? Without paying?
MAYBE if you have a VERY generous guildie who doesn’t mind sacrificing his stone to gear up other people. And I’m pretty sure that’s what Shamrond is referring to as “a boost”.
