Punishing casual/solo players, why?

Stop right there! How dare you imply a game should be relaxing. I need all games to be played as min/max’ing as possible and be forced to play my class at all times to maximum efficiency or get yelled at in discord.

You are skirting heresy!

Nobody here in this forum and this thread is casual, especially OP.

Casual don’t visit Wowhead, wow forum, or demand high ilvl gear, or care enough about which Legendary to craft or recraft.

No one is saying that at all. This game is designed to reward people who put more time/effort into it. When you play a game that’s designed to be played with groups of 2/3/5/20 people and choose not to participate that’s your choice.

It was sarcasm my friend, sarcasm.

False. Casual is a measurement of time. I’m a casual player and still raid mythic.

Nah you’re just describing solo or players that put zero effort into the game.

Sorry. You would be surprised.

No I wouldn’t. I completely understand.

I see that mistake made often with solo players. They always use a later patch as an example when comparing current WOW. The best gear for current WOW has ALWAYS came from the most difficult content of that time which involves grouping. Even with catch up mechanics in place you will never have comparable gear to a mythic raider or high mythic plus unless you group up. That’s the way it has always been and it’s the way it always will be

Blatantly false.

Daredevil is timer-related. That would have been a 4-star without it.

Killing two things between 10 seconds is about trying to kill them at the same time, like trying to kill the Stone Generals at the same time. You pull them together.

Some elites like the Tower Sentinels are not so bad, but other elites do a lot of damage or need to be interrupted, and so many players really would want or need to pull them one at a time.

That is to say, having to pull and kill two elites at once is pretty much part of the “go-go-go” playstyle that some players (especially the undergeared ones) would rather avoid in Torghast.

Real casuals dont even care about legendary’s. I know i dont, i dont care about any of the new systems.

Fighting two elites is not part of the go-go mentality, the gogo would be not being able to pause, which is not an issue. You could also use roots or other CCs to keep one Elite in check, damage one, CC it, damage the other and then kill them at the same time.

Have you tried mind controling one and making it fight the other? Haven’t leveled my Priest but that might be viable.

How to be casual on this thread

“I can’t do it because…”

The never ending excuse on how they can’t do it when all that’s needed it gitgud

Yes, that might work, but I do think the unnatural power buff would start to add up and you would need to make sure to keep them both away from you once MC breaks from damage and is no longer working due to diminishing returns. One other small caveat is that some elites send attacks to you (even if they are focused on another target), which could snap you out of your channeled cast. I am also not 100% that MC works on all elites, but I will try that next time. Thanks for the suggestion!

Well I’m jus sticking with my current one too even though my best has changed. Just easier to use

You don’t get to decide what other players need. They increased the ilvls for higher levels of torghast which is supposed to be a solo friendly experience so solo players need higher ilvl gear if they want to do what is supposed to be solo content.

But there was a time when this was the right game to play for that, and that’s the entire point that these “You can casually Mythic raid” players are missing. We’re not asking for the game to become something new. We’re just warning that if it doesn’t go back to the way it used to be, players will continue to defect to FFXIV.
