if you never complete the key, you get nothing, so again…not likely…but if you want to keep peddling ridiculous counters to an argument, go ahead, you can just not expect me to participate.
YOu need to quit knocking pugs. That’s the same thing as criticizing someone with no friends. There are plenty of reasons why being in a guild may not work for someone or hell…EVEN BEING IN A GUILD and STILL not being able to group with the people in it to do keys together.
And furthe ryou need to stop excusing this behavior as being “typical of pugs,” when a few changes from the system we all use can eliminate this crap altogether and then it doens’t matter if you pug or not.
not a single change anyone has brought up would eliminate anything. On top of that, not a single change anyone has brought up would punish people fairly.
a leaver count in absence of any other data is 100% meaningless, and quite possibly punishing the wrong person.
Yes. I am saying if the key holder sees that they are not in place to time it, they would now have the option to lovingly encourage someone to quit so that they don’t lose key level, instead of completing it and having key deplete.
I wonder if people could stop trying to fix an issue that isn’t an issue.
Punishment is never going to happen for people if they leave an mplus.
Honestly you’re out of touch. People will kick people just so the key doesn’t delevel
Their key doesn’t delevel.
You ever notice the only people that complain about key levels depleting are low io people that worry they won’t time the next one?
Master of Excuses over here.
The system doesn’t need to be fixed or changed.
Ok I was about to make a post about this same thing, since I don’t get why this community like just loves say “it is what it is and nothing will be done” like there can be a constructive and intelligent discussion about this. Since there is a easy fix to it since its just like in league you leave a match early u get like over 50% lp cuts for the next 3 games and increases every time you do it. Can apply the same kind of punish, don’t gotta reinvent the wheel but something does have to change , and this is from someone with 2897 io who takes about 30 mins to make a grp. Then you have one person that decides that the key is gonna deplete even though key can be 100% timed, its just make it so when the timer is active you are locked in. Then once the timer goes it can be pretty much up to the group to keep going to get the little end rewards and such or for vault.
The leaver stuff just needs to stop like we as a community can’t just be ok with people doing that, since it’s a waste of everyone’s time. Or we need some kind of like leaver protection, or a ff at 15 system. There def needs to sweeping change in the systems around M+ for sure since its not so bad at the start of a season but right now it is miserable.
See right there is why we can never trust people that want punishments in m+.
i’m not advocating for punishments for players, i’m advocating changing the existing system so the people harmed by leavers aren’t punished. I think that’s a better solution.
But I also want to see other changes
- stop giving rating for untimed keys - this keeps the rating actually meaningful. Getting score for not timing a 15 when the first one you did was like…a 2 seems ridiculous.
- reduce loot for untimed keys; but keep crests the same so that people are less likely to leave a key that isn’t timed if they’re just doing it for vault. THe older system for having one of the pieces not be as high as the “primary” piece would be fine.
- leaving a key could give a deserter debuff like the current system for the queued group would work; but I’d only advocate this if you used the pug finder.
- The LFG tool needs to show EVERYONE in the group up front, their class, their spec; their role and their score. Without an addon, it’s too easy for “carry” groups to slip by the smell test until you’ve joined.
The relevancy with people leaving?
Gee, let’s give even more incentive for people to leave.
Can game make distinction between a group using the group finder and when not?
The only one point I agree with.
And I’ll throw in the usual things, might as well;
- stop pugging
- I’ve been pugging my way to KSH and have yet to see anyone leave, whole season. People don’t leave keys that go well.
- If you encounter a lot of leavers, might want to look inwards.
And finally, if this is such an issue that warrants this many threads every god damn weeks, it must mean you can pool enough people that hates leavers and do groups together.
And please, stream if you do.
other than 3, these are changes I’d be mostly on board with. I simply disagree that a deserter debuff is merited.
4 is something that would benefit everyone. show us all data for everyone in the group so we can make more educated decisions on which groups to sign up for.
I see more threads about people leaving in the last 2 months than I have experienced people leaving in all of DF.
There clearly can’t be because it’s been explained multiple times and people still can’t seem to understand this.
No where else in the game is someone penalized for leaving a group.
Leavers aren’t a wide scale problem that people pretend it is. People don’t leave good key groups and you can’t force people to carry you
If you don’t want leavers make friends and stop pugging.
The system does t need fixing. If you’re that stressed over losing a key level the. You’re key is higher than it should be.
Understand this. It’s a situation that doesn’t need fixing.
No where else in the game has a deserter debuff for leaving lfg content. So no this is a terrible idea.
If you can’t download the raider io addon and read what it says that’s 100% your fault.
working as intended.
I left my own key last night because after 4 wipes on the last boss in a 15 fall because people don’t understand mechanics was painful.
Your suggestions would penalize me.
Nobody but you made your choices. If YOU choose to pug, you deal with the consequences of that choice.
How about you stick to reality chum. I’ve never said any of that, nor is that an equivalency.
I stopped responding to this post bc it turned into a circle-jerk 400 comments back. Glad y’all kept it going tho
As long as you continue to assume all pug experiences are this way or that this is somehow okay just because it’s pugging, it will continue to be that way…either way…iggy it is.
