Whereas I enjoyed the game the way it is, its a large community and every decision isn’t always going to suit me just the way I’d like. To those of you who really wanted this change, I’m happy for you that the game will be more enjoyable. See you out there!

I’m glad for the change, don’t get me wrong… but I can’t help but feel more sadness than anything. It was pulled far, far too late. Such obvious changes should’ve been introduced in the beta. A whole patch (and a half) in? We were clamoring about this flawed system non-stop long before the expansion even shipped, and I’ll tell you what would’ve stung much less: owning that it couldn’t have been fixed right away due to labor and resources (if that was the actual case) rather than sticking to the guns and saying everyone else was wrong.
Alas, here we are. I look forward to being able to engage in the endgame with a Covenant I actually, y’know, want to be in on my alts… but I have to confess, the magic is already gone.

That’s really the most disheartening thing, it’s hard to feel even happy. The expansion is almost half way over. This thread alone was the third iteration with the other two being made when the expansion was in beta.
How many times do we need to do this cycle.

I am hoping maybe they take this on board for 10.0 at least would be nice to have an expansion with the QoL features in from day 1

It’s also things that were repeatably begged from players in Beta and on PTR.
For the people still remaining, these are great changes. It’s a wonderful time to be a World of Warcraft player… the problem is it took too long and I don’t think people are going to flood back for the usual Blizzard spin of we finally decided to listen to feedback
The question is what is the system they bring in for 8.2, what will it do that people will beg for change and will we need to wait 10 months for it to be fixed ?
