Maybe the ripcord wasn’t pulled because a woman there thought it was a good idea and they had to stick with their bro culture and not do it because a female like it.
Hey it’s possible seeing how it is the ideas of the guys there being implemented and from what I can see , their ideas suck .
Is anyone in charge of the systems even play this weeks covenant campaign? Do they literally even read the script? We save the grove…again and it’s at full health with the combined powers of a Maldraxsus spy, a Revedreth curator and a Nightfae. Combined…
Yet cant use the abilities.
Well you see, estimable Sir, it is something that is simply not done. We may sit at the same table, but we do not share the silverware. Anyone with breeding would understand this. /sniffs with raised nose/
Timbae you have to go to office and pull it yourself now since nobody is there
Blizzard Preach is gone.
The people who have been giving you feedback are tired of arguing. They are just quitting. Maybe this is what Blizzard needs.

Yes, tired of arguing is an understatement. Like Preach said, some of us played the beta for literally 10 minutes and knew this wouldn’t work.
And then we were told there was a ripcord. Ion lied. We knew it was bad and he lied to appease us.
He is a liar. All they do is lie now to just make us shut up and play their mobile game that is on PC.
They have to gut the leadership of this game, company from top to bottom. Get new people in these positions that actually want to play the game. Something has to change or else this game is truly done. You have the biggest influencers that depend on this game’s content for their livelihood jumping ship. There has to be a change and it has to be done quickly. You cannot cure the body of cancer if you do not remove the cancer, or even promote the cancer.

God damn right. Who is even left doing content for this game? All the big names have branched out to variety games, it’s like they can see the writing on the wall and knowing making content only for this game is now death sentence.

They are doing as little as possible while trying to make the most money and you can feel it. Just like removing tier gear and adding in the same art for every armor class. It would probably cost them a bit more money to have art teams to make armors for every class and yet I follow a guy on a FB WoW group that churns out new armors every other day that look amazing.
It is getting to the point of insult. They are not even hiding the fact that they are cutting every corner and taking out as much inconvenience as possible and yet somehow will create systems out of the blue that will completely frustrate the player base for no reason.
It truly feels like every decision they make is based on a monkey paw reaction.

It’s sad, It feels like I’m drifting away from me best friend.
No, that’s not right - It feels like I’m being pushed away by my best friend. WoW has been here for me as a pillar of stability through good times and bad.
It just feels lousy, all the while fleecing me for 240$ a year not including the price of the expansions.
Then a developer has the cohones to turn around and call me part of the problem because I’m curious where the content is? Get real.

Not only a Dev but a senior one a producer .
Isn’t it the senior people under the gun for all that has happened ? Was he one of the seniors involved or one of the ones that turned a blind eye ?
He has been there over a decade and had to have a good idea what was happening . So to say we are the problem is insulting .
The problem is that if he and others there treated the people there under them better , we would be getting a better product . No wonder this game has been sucking of late . People under stress don’t do their best work , rejecting ideas because it came from someone that they would call Suzi Sidekick (not meant as an insult to you ladies ) instead team Bro .
We’ve been seeing what this Team Bro content has been like and it sucks of late . Not saying that any person should get on the dev team based on gender or race alone but it does look like the team needs fresh blood.

Really sad to see Ghostcrawler added to the list of people who contributed to the negative workplace environment.

4 hours is long enough without a bump to the top.
Um, something something, tons of reasons why, something something #pulltheripcord.
Kinda granted. I mean, he does talk a lot, but I don’t think he did anything sexual. Just more offended people with normal speak.
Really makes you wonder how many hopeful people who liked the original message are even still playing the game.

Started FFXIV on Saturday. It’s incredible how a game openly encourages you to do as much as you can do on one character while WoW is stuck in its weird and outdated ways.
I had no interest in FFXIV up until this point, but WoW is making it so hard for me to love it.

They made an obscene amount of money from wow at the start, now everything they do is with an eye towards not losing it, theyre playing defensive, they wont pull the ripcord until theres like 1 week left of SL because they think this is what keeps the money coming in… more time… more grind.
Playing final fantasy makes me really depressed about the state of WoW, like I can’t even begin to explain my frustrations.
FFXIV is a game that seems to have added something to the game every expansion, while WoW spends time designing new systems then removing them the moment the expansion is over. Imagine if all that dev time was invested into a system that would stay the rest of the game onwards.
This cycle of add>remove>add each time is honestly just so frustrating. We have had iterations added and added to have a truly full and total experience. What we get is feeling like crap at the beginning of the new expansion.

My exact sentiments these past few weeks. I’ve been blasting through ARR and, while there are some issues with the game like excessive invisible walls, it’s been a pretty solid experience so far. (It really does need a transmog/glamour tab though)
One thing that stood out to me was the BARD MUSIC. There used to be some instruments you could get in WoW (one was a flute obtained for a quest in the Tram), but they were soon nerfed so nobody could hear you play. Bugs and bad design decisions go on forever, but fun is nerfed near immediately. Meanwhile whole mariachi bands of bards sit playing entire song albums on FFXIV…

I absolutely love the people standing around town playing music or dancing together, makes the world feel so alive.
At this point i want everyone in the thread to know i’ve basically given up on this game entirely. I don’t care about the ripcord anymore, it’s not going to save this game or the expansion. Just keep on raiding and doing my thing but i’m done pushing for any kind of change. They don’t listen, they never do.
Too busy caring about metrics and time spent played. This quote from the sales call just really did me in hey.
World of Warcraft remains on track for much stronger engagement this year than is typical outside of a modern expansion year
LIKE LMFAO HOW ON EARTH DO THEY WRITE THIS WITH A STRAIGHT FACE.
