#PullTheRipcord

That does not mean you are good with this new system does it? Each expansion things changed.

Just because you did this content, does not mean your voice is louder than mine. Your words don’t have more weight than mine. Just like mine does not have more than yours.

Sorry you appeared to have missed my question,

and you lost as soon as you talked about experience. Acting like these systems don’t matter to people who do or don’t raid.

check mate. You seem to take pride in raiding, Blizzard is not stopping you from doing it. If you can’t adjust to the new systems in the expansion. You might need to find new guild mates. Everyone is playing by the new rules of the expansion.

So for anyone following at home, Khaelyn has no experience at raiding at any level of difficulty as a guild and cannot comprehend the mindset of wanting to do better to help the guild out.

She’s a selfish player with no experience who will be unable to grasp the feeling of overcoming an obstacle with a raid team.

Don’t waste your time on her, we’ve tried dozens of times but she won’t budge. She will just proudly claim if you can’t adapt you’re a bad player.

Problem is we will adapt, adaption has never been the issue.

And you are acting entitled. You act like because you do mythics. That what you want matters more than anyone else. You are hyper competitive. Every point that gets made, you check armory and say your view don’t matter because you don’t raid. Acting like raiding is the only thing that matters, and people who don’t raid don’t DARES comment on your thread that has 600+likes with no dislike system.

You are a prime example why a good part of the community does not want to raid, or be part of said community. You throw a hissy fit when someone comes in and does not agree with you. No matter how many times you get proved wrong.

If you can’t adjust to the new wow system in shadowland, you and your guild might not be as good as you think you are.

I’m so entitled and blessed I get to make and keep three shamans up to date.

BLESS UP!

I am truly blessed.

That means nothing. How you are acting to people who don’t agree with you. Speaks volumes about you.

WoW is a bad mmorpg, but it has nothing to do with what they’ve been doing for the past few expansions…okay.

And you can chill with the “sky will fall if Blizzard listens” because they’ve already done that multiple times already with previous iterations of borrowed power. Players like Timbae are telling Blizzard that the system will be disliked if they decide to fold their arms for the 3rd expansion in a row.

The game where you want to believe that having a “decent guild” will allow players to do whatever they want because they lack the information to make decisive choices died after Vanilla WoW.

You’re living in a pipe dream.

Any blessed people in the thread or just me?

ignore her bro pretty much everyone is with you on this one. mythics and raiding are the biggest part of the game and casuals will never get that.

I have a top 5 or 10 world parse for that same fight and difficulty. Does that mean I can speak now boss?

Even thought I think we both now that parses this late in the tier, when most of the high end guilds are on beta or are taking breaks makes cheese parsing like speed kills kinda irrelevant.

No, if they listen to a set part of the community that says it can’t be done. It will encourage them to out cry just like this with every little system that Blizzard makes that they do not agree with.

If Blizzard pulls the ripcord. It would encourage these people to do that. This is the same community that did protests on servers just to crash it, because hunters was getting a nerf.

I’ve mentioned about your raiding experience before, I am truly baffled the stance you take on ripcord pulling and covenants in general.

But at least you have legs to stand on :relaxed:

A few, that’s subjective I guess.
You seem to back the current system fairly heavy-handedly while still not answering my question concerning why decoupling the power would make the game worse but ok.

That’s incorrect, I like being a druid, I would like more distinction in my class. I think each class’s differences in abilities and lore are great and unique and their power differences when it comes to spell diversity is something we should aspire too. Unfortunately, that’s something terribly improbable considering previous expansions and their balancing history.

Great! I hope you’re happy with your decisions, my problem isn’t the choice it’s Blizzard’s ability to balance them.

See this is where I disagree, you say “character-defining” I say '" character limiting".

I know Blizzard wants us to define ourselves by our covenants which I can and will readily do, I just don’t want to be ignored or underperform on content compared to my fellow druids who are the exact same class/spec and choose a different covenant. That feels bad, not good.

So again, balancing.

Here’s where you a terribly incorrect, we’ve seen the numbers when it comes to soulbind and covenant abilities. The disparity is HUGE, you said you’ve read the beta forums but it seems like you haven’t even looked at the numbers they have been posting and the concerns on their ability to balance them without making the abilities ultimately feel irrelevant.

So you say a lot of nice words and feelings but the truth is a lot of people are going to feel bad when they can’t keep up with others of the same class/spec just because their picked something they thought was cool, and now they have to decide if they want to abandon a covenant they really like in order to perform at a median level or keep the aesthetic they like.

That doesn’t make my choice meaningfully it just makes me feel bad about my choices.

I agree I would love it if they could balance it to a level where I felt my ability didn’t matter and I could be on par with my fellow druids, but the reality is they arent, and they haven’t been able too in any expansion.

Will this kill that game? No
Can you still play if you have friends and a guild? sure

But you cant tell me you will be ok under preforming when your doing your best to someone whos is the exact same class/spec and just presses a single button and outdoes any effort you put into your class.

Wow is only a bad mmo because of two reasons.

  1. The community.
  2. The speed that they can balance change. It should not take months to change something that is too good or too bad.

That is it. Wow pros is that it tries new systems, and it keeps changing. Expansions are just that. The problem we ALL have with Blizzard is not that they try new things, but how long it takes for them to change things if it does not. The community would be more understanding with the systems if Blizzard was fast.

With that being said. That does not mean I don’t want Blizzard to do new systems. Even if they take too long to fix things.

Honestly, I’d rather they be cool and meaningful. I’d rather they had strategic impact that allowed me to plan my strengths and weaknesses, and if I do that right, to overcome. I also hope they are balanced in a reasonable state.

But reasonable means many different things to everyone.

Given your experience, I don’t understand why this ripcord needs to be pulled so badly, but things like faction or server lock, or class abilities like immunities being locked, that have more impact on success that covenants will, go ignored by most.

Maybe my perspective is different, because I usually play an underdog or middle of the road spec, like fury in pvp or surv in pve for example and still do relatively well. To the point I am not super worried about covenants being locked and or the potential that it’s stops me from killing things, because I know if I play well, it will have more impact in most cases.

They pulled the ripcord in Legion and in BFA TWICE. We’re telling Blizzard this because we have seen how the players react to this system. At that point it doesn’t matter if it’s a set part of the community speaking out against this. We’ve seen what the masses do when the players get their hands on systems like this.

It’s better for a “set” of the community to say something. Unless you want another BFA launch. And we all saw how that went.

I want you to point out where I stated I didn’t want Blizzard to try new systems. Cause you seem hellbent on that point.

All they had to do is a little simple surgery and remove player power like the covenant class abilities from the covenants but instead they took a wrecking ball to every thing.

Heck when Blizz pulls a ripcord they yank that puppy

I mean this is a new system. It is something you don’t like.

It will change again in the future.

Also I don’t think they pulled a ripcord. We could say that about any systems that get changed. A mmo very nature is to change, to see what works or does not.

They added more traits, and changed a few things…but the core system was still around.
