I agree, not that its the same as covenants because flying dose not really effect any of the end game content except on how you arrive to it.

That’s our point, they still won’t. You thinking locking everyone into a covenant will make people respect your choice more.
It won’t.
People will know which one is the best and consistently judge you for not swapping to the best one. The only difference is that you won’t be able to easily swap to do content. You will be left out in the cold.

I’ve not seen anyone who is pro-ripcord attack anyone else. I see them stating that your gameplay wouldn’t be affected by the ripcord. Anyone against the ripcord is extremely selfish and wants to dictate how others play.

Summon please

I 100% rip around on my ground mount. Probably half the time. Best part is, it’s a choice that I get to make. You know what’s not a choice? Never getting to play with different cool abilities that are designed for my class. Choice is a good thing man. Restrictions are not.

Swapping covenants doesn’t make sense. If I were the leader of an organization, and you guys took my secrets and power and shared them with my rivals, I wouldn’t at all be open to letting you back in.

Be thankful that you just need to do a couple world quests to switch. I don’t think that makes sense at all.

If you care so much about RPG elements, would you be willing to defend Master Loot?

Good thing that we “leave behind” all the “secrets and power” behind when switching by wiping our minds.

Also, the Maw-Walker is an unprecedented special entity that every “organization” is head over heels for.

Have you not watched any of the Beta content? We help out ALL of the covenants.

Why would they expect us to help without something in return? A minor share of their power keeping us ingratiated to them will make us want to provide more aide to them.

Plus it is a win win situation to empower the neutral party that tries to save the entire realm from the anima drought

If they really wanted to mess with the min maxing crowd then would just assign each player with a randomized hidden stat value formula that makes armor behave differently for everyone.

Then no matter how much math you did, no one could predict anything until they solved the “hidden stat value formula”.

Of course it would make the min-maxers re-create the same char over and over again until they got a favorable “hidden stat value formula” Which would torture them even more.

But this covenant idea just tortures everyone who enjoys the visuals just as much as they enjoy the play.

just from this statement… you havent played the storyline in the beta have you?

Can we please just pull the ripcord!

We attack your invalid opinions based on logical fallacies. Every anti-ripercorder just takes pleasure in the frustrations of people who don’t want to be pigeonholed into a theme they don’t want to be able to play the game as they always have, following a meta.

As terrible of a person it makes you to take pleasure in this it’s at least understandable compared to all the dumb arguments you try to make in favour of leaving covenants locked. The only argument against the ripcord truly is, “It doesn’t affect my enjoyment of the game and I don’t care”. It’s a dumb, but at least valid opinion.

Just admit you’re a troll, you enjoy how angry people are because you don’t care if they are locked as it won’t affect your enjoyment of the game and leave it at that.

It all boils down the a choice:

Want (the style you like) or need (the one that will preform the best)

In a place where most are in a competition to do the best they can, this becomes a lopsided choice that is already chosen for us in many cases.

So do you care about your wants? Or do you care about your needs?

Why do you guys keep saying this?

Admittedly I do not have the beta, but I do not believe that 3 of 4 choices are grayed out for you when you hit 60. Every class of every spec can freely choose between any of the four covenants.

Who is going to choose your character path? You or Icy Veins?

Icy veins.

If you raid this choice also effects your raid team. So as a rogue I have a skill in maldraxxus that preforms 30% better across the board and is easy to use. My other 3 are bugged, not even worth it because its the same damage or super hard to handle and none of them perform as well.

I don’t like maldraxxus asteticlly, however if this is not balanced my choice is this:

Live with it or tell my raid team that they have to wipe 3-7 times more a night because I wanna be a sparkly fairy.

This is not a position I want to be in next expac.

This argument is so disingenuous.
You know exactly why people make the choice of these abilities. Your just assigning random platitudes to your reasoning because you cant argue the point.

I do raid, and my guild is allowing us to pick what we want. We don’t pretend to be cutting edge Method who needs to squeeze out every .1 DPS.

So why do you care if the covenant abilities are unlocked? It will literally have 0 effect on you.
