LOL who do you think gets invited to Alpha?
You can choose off-meta builds and down mythic bosses, depending on the meta and your group. I wouldn’t do that for progression if you actually cared, but unless you’re doing mythic world first (You’re not.), you have a lot more leeway than W1 raiders have, who are often undergeared when they clear the whole thing.
The issue is that the system is inherently flawed, and there are certain types of people that are defending it for no reason besides the fact that they hate those dang ol’ elitists having the audacity to care about the game.
And like has been mentioned there are likely a large number of people who haven’t done M+.
But from a minimum number of character perspective it lets you know that there is at least 1.5 million 120s with a minimum of a 3 star +4 for Raider score.
Compare that to 367,000 with IO scores above 1.2k you start to see that just from banding you can see a huge percentage 70%+ never really make it to the higher content. Usually through a lack of time or interest in the higher tier content
The thing is, people do it at higher level because min/maxing is a type of fun. For me it shows a lot of the mindset of the player and I will always have more fun with someone that care about the game than someone that doesn’t because I’m goal oriented. Failing is the unfun part, if you play the right way and kill bosses fasters I have more fun.
You might be able to kill with a bad comp a boss 2 months later, good for you but I wouldn’t want to be on those wipes.
FOR REAL!
Preach in 2012: MoP systems suck
Preach in 2014: WoD systems suck (spriest is fun tho)
Preach in 2016: Legion systems suck
Preach in 2018: BFA systems suck
Preach in 2020: SL systems suck
It’s like…Preach is never happy with the game.
Because the those dang ol’ elitists are making a mountain out of a molehill when a majority of players don’t even participate in cutting-edge content.
Ah yeah, it’s not like we were 100% right about artifact relics and azerite, right?
Absolutely not, everyone loved the systems !

Casual: Exists
Elitist: WHY ARE YOU CASUALS MAKING IT HARD FOR ME TO CLIMB MOUNT EVEREST?
You’re grossly overestimate how much we thought* we give to casuals.
We just want a fun game
Oh I care about casuals, just not these two.
The honest truth is I do have my main Covenant I want to go with and I like their class ability for pve but there also a couple of other class abilities I would like to try out in random bgs just because they look like they would be fun .
Like I said earlier maybe we could earn those abilities for our class from the other covenants through the leveling process and the wqs we’ll be doing for them when our main covenant sends us out.
To me that sounds pretty reasonable. Non of them are enemies so why wouldn’t they reward us for helping them . Heck make it some kind of rep reward.
No? I remember people hating the RNG of Legendaries more than the artifacts and relics, except for those few that obsessed grinding Artifact Power when Blizzard told them not to.
I wouldn’t let the Soulbinds affect all the class abilities, just the ones from that specific Covenant.
So do I actually, i phrased it poorly.
I’m literally a Perky Pugs Alliance booster. I spend my free time helping casuals get free AOTC achievements where they otherwise wouldnt be able to.
The thing is personnaly, I consider any dk not taking night fae or venthyr trolling because of how good the mobility those 2 gives. I don’t care if the dps is close enough, you’re trolling. xd
We were told that Legendaries would be able to be targeted when the game came out, I mean that was a total lie, hence why it became a big thing - but the spec switching of Legion was always a huge problem that came up.
I am doing necrolord for the armor, as if I am tanking you can wait till I get there before we pull
Thats how I feel when i pick chakrams over wildifire infusions on my hunter.
Sure but you’re Alliance so I’ll never play with you so I’m good. You can troll the Alliance how you want.
