Great job son.

Imagine thinking that Blizzard will be able to balance 4 unique abilities for 12 classes that all have 2-4 specs, to be used in various different gameplay modes such as PVP, Raiding, and Dungeons.

Cause you know, Blizzard totally got it right with Legion Legendaries. And Azerite Armor. And Essences. And Corruptions.

Not to bring out the horse which is already now well and truly beaten, but Aneris’ main was found and it became quite clearly he falls under the category of someone who would not be impacted by any kind of spec balancing.

It’s a common theme on people who are defending this system.

Luckily the system will come out as is and everyone will get to experience the covenants first hand.

I mean, if you can’t realize that Blizzard can’t balance for fifteen years, it ain’t the game’s fault chief.

I think you’ll be okay Kyrrena.

People like the holy trinity earlier who support Blizzard in this decision are being obvious in their vindictiveness over people who participate in multiple types of content. It’s quite sad but it also feels a bit disgusting.

No one even cares about their stupid covenants. They refuse to understand that what people have been fighting for from the start was covenants abilities i.e. player power being tied in to what should have been a simple cosmetic choice.

Their behaviour has been the epitome of misplaced contempt. Someone must have kicked them from a key some years ago and all that anger is being brought out now.

You…realize that’s an argument for why covenant abilities shouldn’t be locked…right? We’re saying Blizzard can’t balance, so their dream of having a perfectly balanced system so we can just pick our RP choice to our heart’s content is blissful ignorance.

Okay, step one: Balance the classes to be within spitting distance of each other. Rather than top performing sub rogues dealing, literally, more than double the damage of the worst performer, enhancement shaman. After you’re done that – oh wait, it’s time for launch? Well crap, now what?

Note: This is based on logs used for raid testing in beta.

Never said I wasn’t gonna be, hon :kissing_heart:

Only one’s that are going to be affected by Covenants are Pug heroes and achievement sellers. Not a big deal.

So, you get to dictate to me what will or won’t affect my gameplay?

Funny, considering my position has always been that certain covenant abilities are more fun than others in certain situations and specs.

It’s almost like…I want…to have fun. Shocking, I know.

Not dictating anything. Just pointing out that the people most affected isn’t as large as the Chicken Littles keep saying.

It’s like this is an RPG with strengths and flaws?!

No, in case you forgot what you said two posts ago:

I am neither, so what gives you the right to dictate what will or won’t affect my gameplay?

Can Sonichu got a single post without using a moniker for the people who support opening the system?

Find out more.

I’m currently waiting on an AI to finish a short story for me based on the prompt “chicken little metaslave number fondlers, eight world quests”.

Edit: OH! It just got back to me. It said “Get a life loser, Ion Hazzikostas for life. Best WoW dev to ever need to hide sub numbers for his entire tenure.”

An MMOrpg. You forgot the MMO part. We aren’t playing Baldur’s Gate. Last time I checked, choosing to aid the Shadow Thieves over Bodhi’s Guild didn’t lock me into a power path that made me less good at PvP (even though PvP doesn’t exist in that game, because it’s not an MMO.)

Can you spell my name correctly when you’re salty?

Nah.

People freaking out about trivial things is, well, trivial.

Completely irrelevant. Even the other MMO’s have limitations, that argument doesn’t even work.

Is your short term memory okay?

Remember, I am neither. What gives you the right to dictate what will or won’t affect my gameplay?

It absolutely does work here. A singleplayer RPG is designed significantly different to an MMOrpg, and you know it. But then again, Ion’s butt didn’t have that written on the walls, so I’m not surprised that you didn’t know.
