#PullTheRipcord

Clearly you don’t care about the game.
Unfortunate.

WELL, you do you mister Warlock.
See you in Shadowlands!

They ignored feedback on artifact weapons, they ignored feedback on azerite armor, they ignore feedback on flying…I’m sorry but no, they’ve ignored feedback and done whatever they want for the past 6 years.

What makes you think that? Check to see all the posts I’ve made in this thread because I was passionate about this issue with the game. Clearly you just want to make a jab at me so go ahead.

Is that supposed to be condescending? Seems like it’s meant to be condescending. Where did I say I wasn’t buying SL?

Cool, you brought up a few topics that I could easily prove you wrong on but I like the part about 6 years. In 6 whole years they made a few choices that they didn’t listen to you on and now you refuse to ever give feedback again. wow.

6 years. 3 design choices.

Some would say being unable to construct sane arguments without frequent use of caps is an obvious sign of being triggered, but these people have been paranoid about min-maxers being out to get them from the start so the entire credibility of their arguments has been shot ever since the beginning.

Sadly these are also the kind of people who don’t participate in group content but want people who do to suffer, so trying to reason with such pathetic intentions is a waste of energy.

Let’s see how many months pass this time till Blizzard eventually makes covenants swappable. :+1:

Oh so artifacts, azerite armor and flying are just minor design choices that don’t have a major impact on the game? Seems to be what you’re saying.

There’s a phrase for that kind of behavior.

Selfish child.

I cannot wait to face the important choice of going with one of the two Covenants that may have thematically fit my character, or choosing the one that will benefit me and my spec the most mechanically in end game content. For example, from what I’ve seen about Elemental, the best covenant mechanically for me to go is Bastion. Enhancement is much the same. And I wont suffer too much from Resto in that Covie. While the two Covenants that thematically fit my character the best are Ardenweald and perhaps Maldraxxus.

Such a “meaningful choice” I’m getting there.

It’s hilarious that people defending the system bring up classes “It’s supposed to be like picking a class based level of decision”

If that’s the case them make it permanent, no changing at all.

Just like when you … pick … your class.

Typing in the grammatical sense is triggering now? Lawl.

Keep telling yourself that. All that salt, no where to dissolve it.

I think it’s in the threads best interest to just ignore these people who keep responding with nothing answers.

They are just diluting the thread with stick prodding instead of giving any meaningful input.

Just here to add my minority feedback that there’s still no story context for picking a covenant on the beta atm.

You finish questing and they tell you to pick with no real meaningful reason as to why. It’s a “Just because.”

I don’t see how they will accomplish writing why you can only have access to one covenant ability while simultaneously doing quests for the others to help protect their land.

Like do you want my help or not?

It gets even weirder when you’re still doing WQ and getting all the covenants Reps up.

They also have cross over. Maldraxxus especially has you speaking to The Bastion and Revendreth leaders a few times.

Because they’re allies… they’re not at war or fighting, they’re all trying to uncover and stop the same thing. So I just don’t understand why you have to pick one.

Wouldn’t we as the maw walker be more beneficial to The Shadowlands if we remained neutral?

Official response from Ion

We’ve also heard from many players who, rather than being worried about regretting their choice, would prefer that they not have to choose at all; they have advocated that we offer a way to switch among the various active abilities offered by covenants without friction. But these covenant systems are thoroughly intertwined: Covenant abilities are often modified by covenant-specific conduits and soulbinds; most of those soulbinds in turn are unlocked through covenant-specific narrative campaigns. Granting access to one of these without the others would lead to an incomplete or confusing result. In short, pulling on that thread (or cord, as it were) would unravel the entire fabric of the system. Even so, we would embrace the work required to rebuild the covenant system along those lines if we agreed that it would be an improvement, but we ultimately do not share that view.

Sorry what is your point of this post?

We’ve all seen the thread.

#PullTheRipcordToSaveTheGame

For obvious reasons. He stated “pulling the cord” would destroy the design. Why continue to use his words when his words have been solidified now

Point is that topic has been linked multiple times. There was no need to quote it or link it again. Everyone in this thread knows what Ion’s thread said. You posted nothing new.
