Yes. But the caveat to that is everyone who makes food professionally is a chef.

The coins we’ve actually seen in-game seem to be fairly large. Relative to our size, they’re at least as big as an AU 50c piece, which weighs 15.5g.
Gold is currently about $62.44 USD per gram. A single gold coin, if it weighed 15.5 grams, would be $967.82.
So if we converted the price, you looted about 22 silver, 73 copper.
