Pretty much every loot compliant boils down to a specific trinket they want.
Gearing the other 14ish slots is so fast and easy with much gear vomit, the catalyst, and crafted gear that trinkets are the only slot left to complain about. And not getting “any” trinkets, it’s getting a BiS trinket
I’m returning to retail (from classic) so I have not figured out the crafting thing (crafting orders) yet. Anyone got a good video they can recommend on that?
I don’t really watch content creators and I knew the system from DF so I don’t have a specific guide in mind. I can’t help with that beyond Google searching.
Basically using sparks (time gated one every 2 weeks) you can craft any slot with whatever stats you want. You can have that be very high item levels if you have runed crests (619) or gilded crests (633) which are a separate craft used to make the armor/weapon craft.
2 crafts can have special properties (embellishments) which can be very strong. Check class guides for your spec.
Crafting orders are really just an interface system to allow a crafter to use someone else’s BoP mats (like the sparks and enchanted crests).
Crafted gear cannot be tier gear, but it can be any other slot including weapons. There are crafted trinkets but they typically aren’t amazing.
The amount of loot hasn’t changed. If you were always getting something, someone was always getting nothing.
What they’re doing with it after they win is irrelevant. PL doesn’t address the chance that you’ll just lose the roll in the first place… Not actually gives you worse chances by not having the restrictions GL does.
Its crazy though, because they already have a roll for you to use when seeking tmog, its the tmog roll. People like you though are why the tmog roll is never used, rolling need on tmog rather than rolling tmog for tmog xD
Spymasters for arcane mage is a 100% increase over other trinkets. It’s not 1% or 2%. If a trinket is accounting for 5-6% of your damage and that shoots up to 11-12% that’s huge
Assuming those numbers are accurate, that is still less than a 6% increase in your damage on the high end. No trinket is giving you a 20% increase to output.
Talk about a bad faith comparison. The presence of anyone who would roll need on an item is the reason the tmog button goes criminally underused in PUGs. Even if everyone used the tmog button the way it was intended, those players would only ever see the item once everyone who would press need have gotten that item, or better. And with a constant stream of lower geared alts in PUGs, that time oftentimes won’t ever come.
For fun I simmed Chronii (high ranked arcane mage parser, in English so I can read it) and simmed them with spymaster and then replaced their 626 spymaster with a 626 quickwick candle from delves.
Their decrease in dps was 4%.
And allegedly this was a pretty extreme case due to how arcane interacts with spymasters?
It’s probably the most affected. But a lot of casters have burst windows like this.
Well 4% overall. Comparatively though the one trinket is a lot better than the other. Thanks for simming though. Hopefully it shows up in vault at some point
