I’m not a streamer. I don’t even use social media. To blizz, I’m a nobody. But I got alpha and beta. So that’s not entirely true.
You don’t always get an email.
I’ve been in three betas and an alpha and I have haven’t gotten an email since the Wrath beta.
Not in DF yet, probably won’t since I’ve been in the last two, but who knows.
I’ll 100% get in this time.
Definitely am not huffing copium.
No… the Public Test Realm is there… but nothing that says ‘Dragonflight’. Thanks for getting my hopes up though!
Grats!
You’re in the beta if you see it as an option in the launcher.
It’s not there in my launcher. I’m not in yet.
The best way to check is to go to the Dragonflight forum. It will often unlock your ability to post in the beta forum before the option shows up on your launcher.
Pff, beta access is for losers and plebs!
Now if you’ll excuse me, I’m going to try not to cry in my coffee while I reload the launcher over and over for the next three weeks.
They seem to be flagging accounts for beta before sending the email notification out, since I got beta at around 4, and didn’t get the notification email until 9
No DragonFlight Beta for me, but I do have Burning Crusade Classic Beta and Shadowlands Beta on the launcher so at least I can test something
Seriously though, I don’t think they will invite me since the character select screen has been telling me that my computer is out of date since the beginning of Shadowlands even though I did opt into the beta.
Thanks for the tip. I cannot post in that forum, so don’t have access yet. That and it’s not an option in my launcher.
but if you go to the launcher, it’s there. You can install and play.
Not there.
Nope. If it’s there, you can log in and play. So don’t wait for an email-- check the launcher!
Still not there.

Dragonflight won’t even be playable on a hard drive from the looks of it. SSD is listed as a minimum requirement. If you don’t have one of those the new content like Dragon Riding probably won’t run correctly.
At the very least, the developers are not designing Dragonflight with the expectations that it will work on anything other than an SSD, anyway.
I want to get in and test things, but I also don’t want to spoil the questing or anything for myself.
Beta conflicts…

Only if the player has signed up for and been invited to play the beta.

For Vanilla, my comp was WAYyyyYYYYY below the listed specs for the game-- which was already so low it could run on a toaster.
Even to the point when I logged in, all the reqs popped up in RED TEXT to warn me that I literally couldn’t play the game!
And guess what? I could play it.
I had issues, specifically that I could run 5mans (poorly), but UBRS and anything that was more than 5 people, I dropped to less than a 1 fps. The game was an unplayable slideshow.
But all I’m trying to say is: the speed difference from a HD to a SSD is certainly appreciable, but there is no way it’s going to stop you from simply playing World of Warcraft. This game just isn’t that demanding.
All I can say from what I’ve seen so far is ‘eek’ regarding the interface changes.
Why “eek”? I thought all the new options were so great as to obviate the need for 3rd party addons to adjust the UI?

How much did the ElvUI team pay you for that post?
This is ridiculous! I demand to be able to login to beta this instant to make fun of how much of a broken mess it is. Obviously the sell out streamers aren’t showing how broken it all is cause they are paid off.
Let us in so we can laugh at how bad it is. And then maybe attempt to break things so bad it’ll have to get patched fast. This is how you really test things you just invite everyone duh.
