I also got it without an email. I checked my email and nothing and looked at the launcher and there it was. I haven’t been picked for a beta since MoP, so pretty cool.
I’ll likely spend most of my time in character creation though, and I’m a little bummed there are only two servers and can only make one Drac per server, dangit. /shrug

Tfw beta but won’t play out because Feral is complete trash thanks to that garbage druid tree that STILL has no word on any changes…

I can also confirm that I didn’t receive any email but checked the launcher last night for something else and saw it there. I didn’t even know beta had launched since after my work day ended I was doing other stuff and then on WoW itself.
I can also confirm not everyone got in. I told a few people and had them all check and none got it. Even seen the screen of 1 who wanted me to watch them and make sure they were looking in the right spot.
Edit - I kind of take it back. I checked again and I did get an email but it came at 9PM EST and it went to the gmail promotions folder (I didn’t check there until just now). I don’t remember if/when I discovered I had it last night but it was before 9PM for sure.
That’s how I always check to see if I’ve gotten in. The mail is usually swallowed up by junk/spam or I just flat don’t get it. So occasionally after beta is announced, I’ll just check on my launcher and voila la, it will usually appear at some point. I have gotten into most of the betas over the years eventually.

I haven’t been invited to a Beta at the Start since WoTLK and I had only just started playing the game like that Spring prior to launch. I did get one for BFA but that was near the end of the Beta and I checked it out a little. Yet, I would say this is the one Beta I would like to be invited to provide feed back on.
Oh wow, I got in! Since I just knocked out KSM yesterday I was feeling a bit unfocused on what I should do next. Will be kind of fun to play around with beta and maybe even the new Druid talent trees when they update them (omega copium I know).

To be clear, having been in the betas for every expac since LK, and PAID CLOSE ATTENTION TO HOW EACH ONE HAS GONE … I think everyone should note what precedent says about beta and “feedback.”
Because we all seem to want to use beta to “make the game better.” Beta is for ONE THING:
Does the game crash to desktop? What were you doing when it crashed to desktop? Can you replicate the issue that made you crash to desktop?
That’s it. “Does it crash?” That’s what beta is for.
Stop waxing poetic about how “your feedback matters.” The only feedback that matters is: “Does it crash to desktop?”
We have almost 20 years of providing REAL feedback from beta, all backed up with mountains of data… and ALL of which has been ignored. That’s not what beta is for.

This first Beta wave, 8 of my friends and guildies got in, I sadly, did not.
Overwhelming majority of the people I raid with got in and same with most of the people in my old guild. All CE players if it means anything.
I got it yesterday. They sent me an email this morning.

I also had no email, but I have beta access.
I have 2 SSD in my computer. That and the amount of RAM I have are the only things that are shown as being good, everything else is shown as not meeting minimum requirements.

I’ve tried to participate in Beta since TBC was in beta. I didn’t get my first invite until BFA. Then I got one for Shadowlands about a month before the expansion went live. Meanwhile, Legion, BFA, and Shadowlands my buddy got 2+ keys each time. >.>
