I bought the PVP version of my tier helm and can’t socket it with Vicious Jeweler’s Setting. Not sure if this is a bug or intentional. I don’t have a PVE socket to test my theory, but I believe the game does not recognize this loot as PVP loot. Has anybody else encountered this? Maybe the paladin piece is bugged while other ones work?

I think on all my characters I’ve used the free tier token on non-helm pieces and many others have probably done the same, wouldn’t be surprised if it’s a bug
This is horse s#it. They need to refund the 30 thousand gold in bloodstones, wast3d playtime payed for, and the real life money spent for the wow token needed to afford the bloodstones

the pve socket can only be applied to jewelry.

Couldn’t tell you. What I can tell you is that the pve socket doesn’t work on the pvp helm from the vendor.
Really hope they fix that!
