Acquired PVP tier helm from Mark of the Spelunker Supreme, unable to socket with Vicious Jeweler's Setting

I traded the token for the PVP version of the tier helm on my paladin. The Vicious Jeweler’s Setting doesn’t recognize it as PVP loot. I am unable to apply the socket to the item.
