If making a new post a year later is spam every single torgast post made beyond the first one should give people a month vacation, cuz spam.

I have wondered if removing the down vote was really to protect some forum posters feelings, rather than hide players dislike of the devs decisions.

The fact that no one else made one in the last year on this subject speaks volumes.
People in this thread admit they try to get people banned because they don’t agree with them. Most people seem to enjoy abusing the report system. It is what it is.

People say things to get reactions some times, so I try to take everything that is said on here with a grain of salt, especially when people ‘admit’ to wrongdoing in this kind of thread.
Shes a good person with good intentions. Essentially shes trying to save people from themselves. Id just let them get themselves banned for false flagging personally

…Debatable. Taking away the ability for people to voice negative opinions, no matter how small of an ability (i.e. downvoting) is a slippery slope.
I really don’t want this forum to become the GW2 forums, where you get banned from the forums for disagreeing with someone, the ban reason being “you’re not being positive enough”.
No you won’t. You’ll find all of the same stuff buried and nothing will have changed. People will also report out of spite.
What “volumes” are those exactly?
I can see you didn’t actually read the thread. There’s no moderation going on here. It’s information and a discussion on how to change things so we don’t have this issue.
I don’t think anyone is trying to take away anyone’s ability tovoice a different opinion.
Which is fine, considering the current reality is the post being buried and a GM needing to come along to review the post and flood of reports on it for no good reason.

the entire forum is negative opinions. most people who are flagged into oblivion are posting positive things. and in threads they high five each other about mass reporting someone who enjoys the game. i’ve been accused of having more than one account and posting to agree with myself because i am not miserable with wow right now.

it’s weird to me negative opinions are to be protected at all costs but positive ones are trolling and should be immediately buried.
Basically. And that’s exactly what happens half the time.
If you say they should take a break because its obviously bothering them then that’s also trolling. I can’t imagine paying to be made miserable for years at a time.
Maybe that has to do with the fact if the majority of the forum is unhappy with something, that one sure fire way to get people upset is to create a thread saying the opposite, i.e. trolling. Timing is important.
