Yes you are controlling the camera , takes a bit to get used to

Dunno. Definitely feels like a console game.

I’m not sure about that. The game is fun though. But it seems like the area so far that I’ve seen are about the size of D3’s zones.

I wonder if Lost Ark is the new trigger on the forum?

They don’t understand this. They believe anyone being critical of something they like is a direct attack on themselves.

Not necessarily so.

A lot of people who play New World or Lost Ark haven’t played WoW. Maybe people just want to try new games? It doesn’t seem to be related to WoW at all… which can be said about this thread.

I am eager to find a different game to enjoy… I just haven’t found one or heard of one. I welcome one being made - it just hasn’t.

I never heard of Lost Ark except from the WoW Forums, I heard from people who are Lost Ark boosters like the OP, and it still sounds like something I want nothing to do with.

FF14, New World, Lost Ark, Age of Conan, Lotr Online, Elder Scrolls… none of them have appealed to me like WoW has.

If they fix their gender locked classes I’ll give it a try.

I’m wary of cash shops as their only means of monetization. The worry is that over time, they might be tempted to offer more pay to win type features. ESO uses my favorite compromise for this by having both a cash shop and subscription service.

The point of view just…bothers me, though I have not tried it yet. Should this bother me so much? or is it not that big of a deal?

I can see by your post count that you aren’t on the forum much. Anytime anyone is critical of FFXIV and now Lost Ark on this forum, the fans of those games get all hot and bothered and they let us know how wrong those critical opinions are.

What compels people to come to the World of Warcraft forums to talk about other games?

Can’t they just go and play their other game?

Video game tribalism is a crazy thing…

The only thing that killed WoW is not a new MMO but Blizzard themselves…and until they get it straighten up my MS it will keep losing subs…all though I will say there will never be a MMO that can match the Number of Subs that WoW has had …

Baffling that they put them in in the first place. How did that make it to launch without someone important saying “You know, this is stupid, let’s not do it.”?

See you in a few months OP

People are just so insane with ‘this killed that’ or ‘this will kill that’ Aren’t we passed the point of such childish notions? I like pizza: But sometimes I will have chicken. OMG CHICKEN KILLED PIZZA?!!?!?! CHICKEN IS THE NEW PIZZA KILLER! Like holy crap you can like two things these threads are just silly.

Because it’s a normal thing in asian games where the game is originally from. NA players have different preferences :woman_shrugging:
They know it’s not a popular thing here but it’s a time consuming process to add the other gender in and i guess it wasn’t worth delaying a game launch just for that

But idk i didn’t watch or read official game dev statements over it if there was any

I made a couple of really cute characters on Lost Ark. Once I got into the game, I hated it. Movement = NOPE. Skills, once I figured out how to change the hotkeys, were ok. However, the movement is a HUGE NOPE.

Sticking with my WoW that I love and never planned to leave anyhow. :grinning:

For all you collecting folks out there:

Items are spread out all over the game world and you actually have to try and hunt them down, they don’t really tell you where they are. Each path has separate rewards as well. There is also hidden story pieces that you have to hunt down using hints to find and collect.
