humans are the trash pandas of warcraft. someone get a broom and shoo them out of the cans.
It’s not just the NPC dialogue, but I remember in Wrath Classic the tool tip would use pronouns: https://i.imgur.com/0LZfDPS.png
That Turkey’s sub’s pronouns are Yum/My
Didn’t Microsoft fired their DEI team not too long ago?
There was a skinny kul tiran that was never added save as a enemy/npc model
I want to know what they’re doing with it, Ion said it’d be a thing and it’s not. How many years of development time is usual for a “feature” like this? The patch was awful and I want to know what they’re developing and if they plan on fixing the dumpster fire that was dropped. Some priorities need to be set.
In my world, “I’m working on it.” is another way of saying “when I get to it”
my world’s a mess tho. too many people working on things.
Ty, I no longer have the Forum Levels to do it, anymore.
I have UNLIMITED POWA!!!
JK I can put pictures in an internet forum though
Not necessarily. This Paladin uses a “femme” model because IC he was born AFAB, but uses masc pronouns so a pronoun option would be amazing to be able to write this character the way he was meant to be portrayed.
And a pronoun selector isn’t a huge change, if just defaults which pronoun use is used in dialogue and quest text.
Obviously, Retail didn’t do what Wrath Classic did. It uses “you” instead “she/her” and/or “he/him”. Was just pointing it out, it’s not always in NPC dialogues.
That’s pretty neat is that new or has it always been that way?
He said that when the social contagion was at its height, but now it’s no longer “cool” to be non-binary, so the there’s no longer a societal pressure to add them into the game.
They also realize, from a business standpoint, that you alienate more people than you gain by adding such a thing.
They already make you turn in the Artisan’s Mettle weekly to two dudes holding hands, Dracthyr are androgynous, and most of the women added to the game this expansion, such as the djaradin, sound like dudes. You’ll be fine.
I feel that second person is the preferred way of a game interacting with the user anyway… I’m not watching my character, I’m playing them
It peaked around 2020. Been going out of style ever since.
I mean, everyone in game just calls us “Champion” which is gender neutral so I feel like that is there solution for that.
I can just put myself in the OP’s shoes is all LOL
Of all the things they need to focus on pronouns are what you choose.
Pronoun dialogue would be amazing, but i can’t see it ever being voiced dialogue. the closest thing to that has been the ambiguous title of the expansion similar to Maw Walker, Hero, or my favorite… CHAMPYON!!
