Ion did say they were working on it.
I think at this point we need to start asking questions about what they’re developing and how long it’s taking to do them. Things aren’t so great atm.

My preferred pronouns are in fact Champion/Hero, so, they do.
I’m still waiting for Conqueror
the reality is, they don’t answer to you. they answer to their bosses who answer to their shareholders.
I suppose that goes out the window if you are a shareholder
no.
just dont.
We are all adults, lets not do this nonsense.
What reason do they have for answering to shareholders?
I do find that it is usually NPCs that use pronouns…oh wait you mean, never mind.
Your pronouns in wow are hero/champion. That’s all you get
Yeah and don’t shareholders want money? How does that work exactly when they lose customers over mismanagement of development time?
He says. Using “We”
Can LUA add-ons change quest text? Asking for a totally normal reason
(Totally not to make all of them say "Wow you angel bean gnome! I love you! Quest responsibilities…)
people are more upset that people need an arachnophobia filter in an UNDERGROUND expansion with dominantly SPIDER themed architecture and a SPIDER bbeg.
Like come on, how stupid and childish can adults be? pronouns? youre the champion of azeroth, noone cares.
So you think pronouns with improve the game that much for everyone? …
you said HE .
I think the excessive focus on it has gone out of vogue of late. Out of all of it though im hard pressed to be moved to care about what people are privately referred to.
He said. Caring.
To be fair, I don’t think it’s a lot of work. Basically control+f+ replace, or it’s probably already a variable so just the user would pick the variable
Or, y’know, we could just stick to the perennial gender neutral terms that NPCs have used for decades.
I’d be hesitant to believe that anyone has quit or joined the game over how NPCs address them. And the first piece of advice I’d offer is therapy, not the world conforming to that need.
Well I think the ask was to be able to choose their pronoun, and have dynamically inserted into any and all quest text they might encounter. I’d be willing to bet there’s a bit more to it…
slightly off topic but somewhat adjacent, I remember them showing a WIP for racial customizations for humans and heard that some of them were never added into the game. I don’t play humans so I have no idea if they actually added the stuff they said they were going to add.
