Ion did say they were working on it.
I think at this point we need to start asking questions about what they’re developing and how long it’s taking to do them. Things aren’t so great atm.
My preferred pronouns are in fact Champion/Hero, so, they do.

the reality is, they don’t answer to you. they answer to their bosses who answer to their shareholders.

I think the excessive focus on it has gone out of vogue of late. Out of all of it though im hard pressed to be moved to care about what people are privately referred to.

To be fair, I don’t think it’s a lot of work. Basically control+f+ replace, or it’s probably already a variable so just the user would pick the variable
Or, y’know, we could just stick to the perennial gender neutral terms that NPCs have used for decades.
I’d be hesitant to believe that anyone has quit or joined the game over how NPCs address them. And the first piece of advice I’d offer is therapy, not the world conforming to that need.

Well I think the ask was to be able to choose their pronoun, and have dynamically inserted into any and all quest text they might encounter. I’d be willing to bet there’s a bit more to it…
slightly off topic but somewhat adjacent, I remember them showing a WIP for racial customizations for humans and heard that some of them were never added into the game. I don’t play humans so I have no idea if they actually added the stuff they said they were going to add.
