Not talking about total number of topics but number of different complaints about things that aren’t authentic.
This sub has been around a long time. There’s a lot more problems than the recent layering. If you’re new here then it shows. That’s fine. You are free to browse the forum.
I think it’s important to mention that despite any change, our experience in Classic will never match that of what Vanilla had. We just know what to expect and know generally speaking how to play the game very efficiently. We can have an exact copy of Vanilla but it still wouldn’t be the same 15 years ago.
That being said, these changes you mention have not only being bashed on Blizzard’s head hundreds of times but had also been debated behind closed doors. Either we see the changes or we don’t but I truly believe Blizzards only goal is to recreate a game to keep people invested long enough for both Classic and retail. I’m highly satisfied that we are getting a product that’s extremely close to the original despite the years of changes both in hardware and in community. We should be grateful it has come this far and what has been provided to us.
Never said I wanted to. I would have been playing on a PServer if I wanted that kind of play but I want authentic Vanilla so I’m perpetually stuck without it.
We knew we were getting spell batching and all the mechanics as they were in Classic.
Can they still tune their Leeway to lower the batching aspect and close the gap inbetween swings and movement skills? Yes.
But ya know what? I still remember being melee’d from 20 yard away while I was blinking or doing movement skills, getting clipped by Warstomp at the same time as moving and being stunned too far out of its range.
All of these mechanics were THERE. Its just more easily noticed because of the increase of speed of technology.
If you wanna skip classic until the itch hits in a couple of phases.
You can say this until you’re blue in the face, but it won’t stop rogue mains from quitting because it’s impossible to drop combat when kiting a warrior. Or countless other abuse scenarios from happening which cause pvp players to drop ship. I won’t be personally quitting over this, but it remains a problem - regardless of how smugly people are repeating that we knew it was there.
Yes we did, but the unintended consequences deserve to be discussed at length prior to release. They’re game breaking in many ways.
There is no smoke and mirrors. This sub isn’t new. The myriad of layering posts have seen a ramp up recently but I’m talking since this sub was opened.
There’s a lot to sift through if they haven’t been deleted. You’re more than welcome to it since you’re already here. It’s fine if you’re new to this forum. Nothing against being new.
Also, might want to check on the beta forum as there’s several posts there with Blue replies saying they are working on fixes I haven’t mentioned yet that folks were up in arms about due to authenticity.
Would be a good idea to get caught up by browsing some so you can be brought up to speed since you’re out of the loop.
No. You didn’t. Yet you claim it’s legal. You also seem to be under the impression you can do it better than blizz. So logically. You should show them how it’s done.
Im not sure you understand how leeway works with spell batching.
If you’re within striking distance, and you MOVE while the swing is being calculated and you moved away in the same batching as the swing would have counted as a hit during that 0.4s you’re gonna get hit. 10 yards, 20 yards ETC. If you can make it outside of their swing range and stay outside of that 6? 8? yard bubble you’ll be fine.
Again, this mechanic was the same as it was in Vanilla… We just notice it more because our computers and our internet is much faster now
You are more than welcome to browse the beta forums, as well. I didnt bring up any issues from there but there have been recent acknowledgements of blue posts about authenticity and fixes to make it so.
I’m not including every grievance the forum has since I feel the list I gave is enough to prove a point.
Stick your head in the sand all you want, I don’t really care. It ain’t my head.
Respectfully, this is how you kite away from a warrior to drop combat lol. He waddles forward, you waddle away and there’s less leeway to enable him to hit you. On beta it’s far more complex to do the same thing for no reason besides leeway being more noticeable. The complexity of a vital tactic has risen for artificial reasons.
I should mention that, memes aside, it’s VERY HARD to drop combat against a tauren warrior. Ridiculously so.
You have lost credibility. You have tried “etc”, you have tried “XYZ”. You ran out of actual things to say and you tried to pad your argument with nonexistent examples. You got busted.
They found bugs in the beta? According to the alt brigade that was just for streamers. Wow. Who would think blizz was actively trying to fix those. Lol.
Oh please no. I know the threads are endless scrolling but that’s a list. Mostly not worth reading. Lol.
Uh huh. So layering is bad. Got it. Glad it’s temporary.
So 1 thing on your list is temporary. 2 are mostly a result of the faster connections and hardware we have. Maybe even player skill? Eh? Someone make a thread on it. Lol.
Not thrilled with AV myself but it is what it is.
Same with loot trading.
RCR is happening even if we all make threads on multiple alts. Lol. Welcome to 2019.
Long ago some here in this forum tried telling you guys this was not going to be the same. You didnt listen or temper your expectations. So now it’s your choice. Play or don’t. Your choice.
Instead of saying “etc” he wanted me to list every complaint like debuff limits, stitches being neutral, lag on condition application, wall climbing, etc
Dammit I used “etc” again. Now I have to expand the list even FURTHER because the several issues I stated in my OP didn’t get my point across! I needed MORE to be taken with credibility!
The dude is just a troll. He can be safely ignored.
