Uhmmm…would this be a bad time to ask for flying?

This is what people say when they get called out on BS.

Outside of Exclusives: AAA companies haven’t been the best in the past like decade lol.

Blizzard very clearly stated it would be as authentic as possible. They did not tell the truth. It becomes less authentic every day.

another melodramatic over-reaction that affirms to us all that the sky is still falling…
I honestly don’t know what amazes me more - someone’s ability to completely sabotage their imminent time in classic via a self-fulfilling prophecy, or their ability to latch onto something unfinished in beta and run away with every negative train of thought that leads up to the inevitable ‘doomsday launch’.

the irony, of course, is that the single largest factor to anyone enjoying classic, will be the attitude they take into it.

I think you answered your question. This product is being sabotaged either by the people in charge in the dev team or by people above them. Because they don’t want it to succeed, just to exist so they can shut down the private servers and make profit off sell-outs who need their fix. Something for people to do in between content updates and expansions since the game is so easy now people can see all of endgame in a week.

I’m sorry you played on a toaster in 2004. Some of us had computers that didn’t hard freeze every time we played so much as Galaxy Pinball.

Leeway was determined to be working correctly within the internal mechanics of how it was originally designed. — we notice a difference in it BECAUSE of our faster connections and better systems that run at (my computer) 350+ FPS, im running JUST AS FAST AS SPELL BATCHING.

Batching. Same thing.

Layering? Hopefully doesnt stay as per their “phase 1, as needed” BS.

As far as i could see, they listened to us about right click report…

Loot trading is ONLY for raiding large scale.

Its not retail AV. Its been nerfed and F’d with a lot more past 1.13 (the version they built classic around) Is it watered down? yes. I was still having 6+ hour battles in the AV beta test.

I would like unarmored mounts but again - this is based on 1.13 not “THIS HAS TO BE EXACTLY LIKE VANILLA WAS AND HAVE THE SAME EXACT CHANGES AND SCALES AS IT USED TO HAVE”

Besides layering, and the version of AV being the watered down end of Vanilla AV what you have talked about is absolutely minor in comparison to anything else… Its basically cosmetic and will I be disappointed if my guildy sells their DKP to give a diff guildy an item? yeah. I’ll be disappointed but it all stays in the guild.

Make it a rule that if you sell your DKP you get a DKP penalty on the next couple raids. BAM, problem averted

Im sorry your guild wuss’d out. Im sure once launch happens and a few of them pick it up out of boredom things might roll for you but HONESTLY we are all different and have different lives now and that means our priorities have changed… NOBODY from my old guild is coming back either.

I found a new one.

You’re on the forum. Doesn’t take long to see the myriad of people complaining about X, Y and Z.

You can pretend people don’t complain about a lot more if you’d like. It’s your illusion, you’re free to do with it as you please but this forum has been around long enough.

Lol.
We know people hop around on alts. We know topics are spammed to death by low rep, low post count avatars.
If spam is your measuring stick on a message forum that allows multiple avatars per user. Sure there’s complaints. Lol.

Just throwing this out there: if we had all the original source code and all the original hardware, then it might be possible to get Classic to 100% = Vanilla. But Blizz didn’t have all of either, so it’s next to impossible to get things 100% the way they were.

I am no fan of layering and some of the other concessions, but at the same time I understand the engineering challenges that are being faced, and have to accept that if we get a game that is 98% authentic, it’s hopefully better than nothing.

Alt brigade spam topics. In an attempt to use subversion to influence other users of the forums.

FTFY. You’re welcome.

Again, trying to smoke and mirrors your way out of bs. You tried to use “etc” to bolster your argument, but you had no actual examples to put there so you pivot to “X,Y,Z”. It was a nice try.

You clearly didn’t play vanilla. The loot bug was well known and common and it didn’t matter what your computer or connection was.

Also I’m very sorry you don’t have a sense of humor.

Did they though? Did they tell the group of people specifically that have spent years and months taking what is not rightfully theirs and making profit on it and tell them they were making it for THEM?

No…they did not. They are making classic for ALL who love World of Warcraft.

I have said this over and over that, I believe they had a part in bringing more attention to the subject, but this is not a “we were right to steal your hard-earned property” debate. People on these very forums are already touting stealing the current code base to roll out new servers.

They did not tell that “particular” group it was “for them”

It’s for us all.

RCR is back

Here’s a legal tip for anyone interested:

Emulation in the US is legal. Technically, Blizzard can send 1 million cease and desists on an emulated server and nothing would happen. The server isn’t using stolen blizzard code and despite WoW being an MMO, despite whatever ToS or EULA they wave in front of you - video games are perpetual licenses. Blizzard ToS and EULA do not supercede law.

If pservers stolen code from Blizzard servers and you didn’t own a copy of World of Warcraft, that would be piracy and illegal.

Since all of the pserver code only emulates what Blizzard’s servers did and were written from the ground up - it’s not illegal.

Don’t let anyone else know the game industry has to adhere to things like laws.

The same reason Nintendo can’t go after anyone that makes an NES emulator - including hardware like the Analogue. Or any hardware manufacturer going after anyone that makes an emulator.

They legally can’t.

The more you know.

Well. Crap. They removed it for a bit, wasnt paying attention for it after they let it go -sigh-

At least we got a fat layering switch CD implemented. I wrote so many reports absolutely complaining about it

That’s completely irrelevant, the fact that Classic is even happening at all is already amazing, it won’t be vanilla, but it will be close enough to satisfy my need to play an older style WoW.

That said, everyone who is complaining about how they won’t play Classic because of these changes, we’ll end up seeing 99% of them in Classic :cocktail:

Yeah. And there is still time for some more fixes.

Im warming up to the idea of playing a Tauren warrior and being able to melee from darn near 20 yards away.
