Pro Changers take heed

Considering most people struggled to get enough gold for their epic mount and riding alone, 120,000 gold a month is not pathetic.

How much gold do you think actually gets added to a server every month?

And since respec costs are not evenly distributed among the player base, unlike epic mounts, how are they an effective tool for preventing inflation?

So your telling me 1.5 million gold. On a low ball estimate isn’t a lot of gold.

Fact is it doesn’t matter how much is generated. When you remove a gold sink, especially one that was known to cost people a couple hundred gold a week, it is going to have an effect.
It might not be immediate. It might not be a huge extravagant impact. But it will definitely change things.

To deny that dual spec changes economy is just a lie.

Switching specs existed, yes. For a payment each and every time. That’s a significant part of the dynamic.

As for the LFG tool, it’s about 85% of the reason why social dynamics fell apart on live. Yes, it’s an extremely convenient thing to be a part of the game, and it makes dungeons much faster, but that’s not a good thing in the eyes of many Classic players.

If you want to use the LFG tool, then you need to play on Modern servers. That’s all there is to it.

Hes not talking about LFD.
He’s talking abiut the interface you use for putting parties together. I’d just prefer a server wide lfg channel

That’s fine, you just don’t understand the difference between the LFG tool and LFD/LFR.

People tend to use them interchangeably. Honestly, did people actually use meeting stones back in the day? I don’t think many did. If you mean the current form of the LFG tool (the currently active one in BfA) then that’s even further in the future and even more out of the question.

I don’t think the minor impact it might have on the economy out weighs the overall benefits dual spec would have. Ultimately something that encourages people to actually play the game instead of farming gold is positive.

The LFG tool is most certainly not used interchangeably with LFD/LFR.

The terminology, yes they do. And either one is a hard no from me.

Right so like I said before you just don’t understand the difference between the LFG tool, which is nothing more than a posting of groups people are running, and LFD/LFR which is actually a queuing system.

I do know the difference. I’m saying that neither one of them is a part of classic and should not be.

i mean by your logic, we could add all sorts of things because they might ultimately have overall benefits. but that is not the point. the point is to make it classic.

Wow classic vs Wow remake. 2 different things.

I wouldn’t mind seeing a remake of original wow with all the things Ziryus wants and more. Would be a cool and huge project for blizzard.

But wow classic is more like a historical or time capsule project. Blizzard has said as much.

So even after the devs say none of your changes will be added at blizzcon, you’ve continued to cry about classic… are you going to continue this even after launch?

i donno about that. to me a perfect wow 2 would be burning crusade balance with vanilla/bc design (ie, no homogenization), dungeons would be setup vanilla style (CC required, non linear), it would have some quality of life features like aoe looting and dual spec.

I’d be good with that.

Overall whether it’s wow2/remake or classic wow, I think the potential that retro projects have is interesting.

The only change addressed at blizzcon was class balance. I don’t recall seeing dual spec mentioned at all.

They pretty much specifically said they were not interested in making any changes that didnt affect security, stabilty and cs/loot tickets.
None if the changes you are asking for affect any of the 3

Then why was there updated water, dynamic shadows and animated vegetation (the grass sways when you walk through it) in the demo? I suppose there’s still a chance they’ll remove these things but they’re clearly not related to security, stability or cs/loot tickets.
