Prepatch is proof that you listen to wrong feedback

What they needed to do was to create fresh prepatch content rather than recycle random old content.

You’re better than this. I know you don’t agree and she can be a bit abrasive, but you’re better than this.

This sounds amazing and I wish I was there for this prelaunch event.

I leveled/played Fair from May 2009 until 2017 on VeCo, RPPvP server. I never offensively engaged in WPvP. I would defend myself. The concept was exhilarating and, for that time frame, it felt lore-appropriate to do so.

I would prefer if the event wasn’t split between warmode on/off. But I’m content to concede my enjoyment for others ability to engage and play the game without frustration. Not to insinuate I alone hold the reins to that decision.

Okay you mentioned nothing about a limited time - let’s elaborate on that huh?

Let’s say you get fifteen minutes to spread it as a ghoul. After that, you can’t catch the plague on that character for three days - you’re maw-touched.

This is prime example of the people you cater to. Notice how they can’t just disagree with someone, without taking it personal. See being grief in this game offends them or something. Like they take it personal.

It is a sad to read, I disagree with you without acting like a kid.

they did implement it for warmode only, the complainers dont like that, they want to grief nonpvp flagged players. as it is they are griefing the forums with how they have abused the english language in this thread.

Didn’t the event in WOTLK get shortened because people got upset about it? Personally I don’t find dying repeatedly fun content.

On top of this it’s not an either or scenario. Just because the griefing part was omitted doesn’t mean they couldn’t have added something else instead. Something new and exciting. You know being innovative and imaginative which seems to be somewhat lacking currently in wow.

They probably do, as they assumed people would be spending a lot of time attacking each other at the rares.

You’re right, sorry. I’m just…gods.
Bit of a side note, I’m really not okay at the mo’. This game’s kinda my only tie to humanity and I’m balancing that with a retail job. I’m going a bit nuts. :expressionless:

This Prepatch is sooooooooooo boring.

Even that part is fine.

If we are going to get such boring pre patch. At least add the grief parts and let us go nuts.

If your creative genius is limited to…well this. It looks bad on Blizzard.

Yanno, if it’s a limited time event like a few weeks with some unique rewards and things to do, people can deal. The game isn’t fun if there’s no risk and no threat of dying. Already, dying doesn’t have much of a sting. You lose nothing and you spend…half a minute getting back to your body and that’s it?

I’d wager that i could count the people praising the WOTLK prepatch event that actually did it here on one hand.

Many people find grief amusing.
But warmode prevents them from doing this and having an intrusive and negative way of interacting with other players.

Many expected a play killer mode with the zombies but ended up frustrated because most have no interest in doing something truncated with such a toxic climate.

Many people asked to be excluded from the event involving the mass trolling that was predicted since the first version was pure inmaturity and venom of various player.

The people who wanted everyone to be forcibly included, and who couldn’t opt out. As it is with warmode because they know they would be “alone on the map”, as always.

So Blizzard decided to fine tune the original event.
It’s not good to have to have to be a compromising but this is what Blizzard gave us.

We will all participate, as Blizzard wishes but in a non-disruptive version as in the past.

Oh man. Have you played in WM on those yet? I bet those might be some fun skirmishes

Equating a short, one-time RP event to “ruining the game” is beyond ridiculous. Like seriously, you must have the imagination of a dung beatle if that’s what you think. Why is it so hard to embrace the story and lore in which the crazy, scourge chaos is supposed to be at the forefront?

I mean, that’s the whole point. It’s not about being ganked, it’s a scourge invasion, YOU’RE SUPPOSED TO BE TURNED INTO A ZOMBIE. You’re supposed to be inconvenienced. That’s how it becomes immersive. You’re supposed to try and run away and if if you get turned, trying to turn others. That’s getting into the spirit of it.

But whatevs.

and yet somehow people is trying to convince me that the “epics” you get are amazing.

:-1:

it’s a pre patch for gods sake I will probably vendor whatever I got now the first 10-30 mins or the first big quest of the new expansion… apply this for every new pre patch and new expansion.

I did retail for a few years, and in some ways it’s worse now than in my time. I feel ya.

Just get through Christmas and there’s other opportunities on the horizon
