If you can’t handle two weeks of trying to live through the chaos for a event. Than you need to go play a single player game.
Let me teach you what a good mmo does. The players adjust to the world and the changes to the world. That is a good mmo. Giving you and your kind a way to not be part of said world. Shows that a mmo is not something you should be playing. Go play Skyrim

It is clear that our worry about the scourge was for naught. Bolvar sat frozen for all this time thinking he would be saving us. He could have been hanging out with his death knight friends enjoying life. I bet he feels foolish
Yup, to think players stopped a message getting sent that could have caused us all to be wiped out because of this said threat. We sure did dodge that bullet.
So the stuff that you don’t like gets to stay too then? Good to know
The game would be better if they stopped listening to people who don’t actually want to play the game. The game is all of the content, not just someones preferred content.
Being upset you might have to PVP once in awhile is like being upset you might have to quest or run a dungeon once in awhile. It means you don’t actually like this game.
That is the nature of mmos so ya. But because of “player choice” we can’t have fun world events even for a short time. And these players crying tears of blood that something they might not like happens in two weeks. Like being killed in pvp makes it personal to them.
If your time matters so much, spending it on a game is very questionable.
There isn’t a single aspect of the game you don’t enjoy? I find that really hard to believe.
You keep saying “it’s only two weeks” What then is an acceptable threshold of time for complaints to become legitimate? Does it only become a problem when it bothers you?

They should lock a good legendary behind pet battles!

I like how you say “some people were upset, but who cares”
And now that you’re upset about how the game goes, the tables are turned and you’re the one complaining.
Who cares. It’s only for a short time.
Funny how your own argument is the exact same thing that can be used against you and be 100% acceptable

Hm…when it is not a event that will not stay with the game. Your feedback is more legitmate for not having it. The fact is, many players wanted and enjoy it, and you not wanting it caused them to not have it. Even for a short time, when you could have put up with it for a short time to let them enjoy it.
Funny: war mode gives it the best of both worlds. You can go do it with those who want to do it, and those who don’t want to, don’t have to.
Ah, players given the choice of what they want to do is so so horrible isn’t it? Or does it just bother you that it goes to show more people would rather not have it, which goes against everything you’ve been saying?

No it does not. It is not the same. Your points are invalid saying a limit time event is the same as warmode. You can’t turn into the scourge. You are not part of a world event that brings chaos to all and being part of the enemy invasion.
You knew this, and yet still acting like war mode is the same.
So if I told you that the lfg tool would go away “someday” you’d never complain about it again?
Wouldn’t it make sense to just drop all the non WM to a different shard (or however that magic works) and nobody would notice them sitting outside the AH as usual? Everyone wins.

One is a game feature, the other is a event. Are you joking?
Also players have lost many features over the years. Stop that silly logic.
There are several aspects of the game I don’t particularly enjoy. Like having to farm rep to get access to good from vendors. But still, I do the rep grinds because they serve a purpose. I don’t like the “table top commander” from garrisons to bfa – but still I roll with it to progress my character… I’m not a huge fan of PVP either…
But when I have to do any of these things, I don’t scream that the game is unplayable and it needs to change because 'mah preference!!!1!" I don’t consider other people playing the game as designed and envisioned as griefing. I don’t see other players getting gear as unfair.
The game isn’t a zero-sum experience. Someone else’s joy isn’t your misfortune.
No one said you had to like every aspect of the game. But you do need to like the CORE of the game. It’s an MMO – having to interact with other people who are going to do things you may or may not like is part and parcel.
That wasn’t the point really. I wasn’t comparing the old scourge event and war mode. Just more so player choice.
But let’s get back to the present.
You liked the old event because you could run around tank people for 2 weeks yeah? Others didn’t like it.
You don’t like the new event because you can’t grief people. But others like it.
That’s called being hypocritical. Telling people to “get over it” because it’s only a short time and they’ll live, and then complaining about the same thing simply because you dislike how it is (just like others from the first event). Don’t worry, get over it, it’s only for 2 weeks. You’ll live.
As per my previous post: war mode is the same thing. It doesn’t stop you from running around and grieving anyone. You still can. Just by those who choose to want to do the same thing. Those who don’t, dont, those who do, do.
Stop acting like an entitled brat because you’re not getting what you want. Please. I know it’s hard, and complaining validates your existence, but you’re a strong individual, I have faith you’ll push through.

I haven’t played the pre-patch event this time around yet.
But I can state my unpopular opinion about the original Scourge event and say that the original wasn’t fun after about a day. Not being able to play the game, pretty much at all, wasn’t fun for me. I ended up logging out and didn’t come back until Wrath actually launched.

Again though, sitting in a capital city isn’t playing the game.
