LFG is not LFD. Raids had GS requirements back in the day. Why would this be any different? But again, lfg is not lfd.
Because it’s false. At one point there wasn’t a rdf in wotlk. This wasn’t a problem then.
Again, there was a time before instant summoning. Are people being kicked now from groups for nor having max flying? No… so why would wotlk be any different?
This is exactly my point. Dude was saying that if you don’t have a 310 mount you won’t get groups because you’ll be replaced with someone else, and summoning stones don’t matter cause you’ll be replaced if you don’t fly(?)
None of these conversations really matter until we’ve actually played the game. There are going to be so many people my guess is that no one will struggle to find groups. Not only that but everything is going to be so easy that what you have in the group probably won’t matter either.
It’s actually surprising to me, even though maybe it shouldn’t be, that people who are supposedly grown adults throwing actual tantrums over a game they haven’t even played yet. If it’s going to cause so much pain to have to put together groups from your own realm without the game doing it for you, maybe just quest instead. Or make some friends. Or play with your guildmates. Or unsub and wait to see if they add it later. Complaining isn’t going to change their minds.
Until it does.
I for one am kinda happy they went this route. I don’t know that it will have the same effect it did on me back in the day but once RDF came out, I personally thought groups got a lot worse. I was a super casual player back then with no real guildmates or friends so relying on it for groups was actually awful. This time around I have guildmates and friends I’ve played with since classic so I wouldn’t need or ever want to use RDF if they implemented it anyway.
Everything had a GS requirement.
Even a single dungeon people were asking for high GS scores because no one wanted to carry a fresh 80.
Blizzard got rid of GS by adding the ilvl information to the gear, which we continued to use (they acknowledge that it was not good but it was a community demand). To fight that, they added RDF.
Raids continued to require minimal gear based on ilvl but there was nothing they could do against it. RDF drastically helped people to gear up tho, so this wasn’t much of a problem either anyway.
I remember when swifty got banned. People spammed trade chat on multiple servers. The forums were a mess. So many swifty fans complained and he got unbanned.
Also with flying, so many threads about flying changes until blizzard compromised with the community.
We’re their customers and they do tend to listen to complaints, especially if there are a lot about the same topic.
It’s funny cause dungeons in classic Era are braindead any class and spec can steamroll them maybe outside of raiding . The issue will be meta neckbeards who kick if a spec parses 50 dps under with 2 buttons
Man, you know someone is desperate when they resort to fantastic threats like this.
Let me know when you and your cabal are monopolizing all your server’s dungeon groups via your exclusive discord. What a joke.
I expect I’ll just continue successfully pugging groups regardless of role like I have been since Classic launch.
No one has ever checked my logs or even looked at my gear for a dungeon. I bet you that will continue in the age of WotLK’s comparatively easier dungeons/heroics.
Your kind is already on borrowed time. Blizzard is actively cracking down on boosting (this includes GDKP–you pay gold to advance/get gear) and this behavior will not be tolerated in a subscription gaming service.
