Last time I used in game voice chat, some sperg was calling everyone the n-word for 15-20 minutes repeatedly. So that’s why I shy away from the chaff in pvp.
The real problem with epics bgs is since the UI rework nobody asked for it’s insanely inconvenient to manage 40 man frames vs 15 man raid frames
Area chat, cross faction would be awesome
I take whatever works best, so I’m not going to use in-game chat if I have a better alternative.
It’s socializing and playing with friends. I know that might be a difficult concept to some of you, but that’s how MMORPGs work. Everything done on Discord can also be done through chat in-game.
Then people should tell Blizzard that they want proper in-game voice chat so they can organize adhoc in epic battlegrounds, rather than complaining that others are organized.
They can make a pre-made themselves, nobody is stopping them. This also assumes the pre-made actually cares about the spec composition, which isn’t the case for most of the pre-mades I play with anyway.
This just calls for proper moderation tools. If this happens on Discord that player will be permanently banned, only fair if this can be done in-game as well.
Clearly, in-game voice chat doesn’t work for pugs in AV. There’s not enough time to get everyone set up for in-game voice chat, and then coordinated like a premade raid.
Do you actually think premade raids vs. pugs is a fair match in AV?
I was wondering when this old chestnut was going to get rolled out.
They would totally love nothing more than to fight other large group premades! It’s absolutely 100% totally not about curb stomping randoms! They totally want the challenge of playing against other premades, it just doesn’t ever happen. It’s totally not about curb stomping and pretending what they’re doing is “sklilled” and “strategic”.
Of course not, but it’s not my problem they don’t team up.
Bound to happen in an MMORPG.
Yeah, it’s a problem for everyone else.
Only because they make it a problem. They could you know, group up and organize… Instead the cry on the forums
Don’t try to argue with “no skill Linaori”. He is known for his stupid takes on EU battleground forums.
We don’t cry, we offer feedback about the current systems which are being circumvented by a group of players who feel the need to show up in force to something that typically doesn’t allow it. We aren’t talking about 4 of your buddies and yourself queueing together here, which is fully allowed by blizzard. We are talking about grouping together by Counting down a queue with several 5-man groups in order to all get the same game together.
The squeaky wheel gets the grease man. While Akat and the rest of you like to think that “it’s the same 5 people on alts complaining” it’s not. It’s tons of people, you see it in game and you see it here on the forums. I even saw it on the front page of the WoW subreddit a couple of weeks ago. I’ve been on these WoW forums Since before were in our battlegroups and I’ve never seen the outcry towards premade epics this bad, not since it was happening in AV during vanilla.
It’s only made worse by the insanely rude and elitist attitude that every epic premader seems to have when addressing these concerns.

There’s also the fact that some people just don’t want to go into a voice chat and shouldn’t be required to for something as simple as a random battleground.
That’s like telling people in LFR that they need to get into a voice chat. They did LFR specifically so they wouldn’t need to get into voice. If this were rated BGs, yeah definitely get into voice chat. This is casual randoms though.
We already went over the problem with this statement. One faction will have significantly harder times to premade than the other, and even in the event they merc, they won’t be a premade for their own faction, but instead the enemy faction.
The end result is they will be a premade and will have to fight against a pug. That pug group they’re fighting is screwed because they’re up against a premade.
It’ll loop around to what everyone is suggesting Blizzard fixes; premading. At the end of the day, even if someone premades, some pug group is going to be screwed over by a premade. It’s unrealistic to think that every premade will fight against another premade.
There is a poster(s) on the EU forums which is quite active in Premade group threads, the EU poster(s) has openly admitted to having some investments/rewards with some sync group queueing addon/software.
After reading this I am not sure if there is any point in a reasonable back and forth on the subject. It’s set up like a business.
Here is the convo via EU forums,
“Of course, the 2 people who wrote it in this topic are known for it. One even wrote an addon specifically for premade groups”
The response,
“I’m glad you’ve heard of it, don’t forget to spread the word so I get more CF points ”
“Idk, the download numbers keep going up, seems like there are more people playing premades than you’d like to believe ”
Reading through these threads/forums it’s pretty obvious how invested it is.
Oh yeah for sure, that’s a whole free €50.
You going to promote my addon here as well?
And is going to get out of hand. My experience has a gamer Who has been playing mmo for almost 20yrs Is that When Premades have complete dominance over a particular aspect of a game Is because they have Strong ties with developers. I wouldn’t be surprise and had seen it When developers queue with premades to farm Solo players.
Why?? is beyond me. don’t know and don’t wanna know What’s the fun in that…
Let the conspiracies flow
this is a new one
curious
what do you get of playing non rated bgs?
bgs are pvp lite.
it’s where casuals go to pvp because they can’t manage rated.
I don’t see what the issue it as you get next to no conquest to be meaningful in gearing to make your character stronger
Or where people go because there are no rated ebgs
