Has anyone else tried out the preg paladin (ret/prot hybrid) spec? I’m unsure about it at the moment but it seems not bad. Interested in seeing what others have to say.

Because the guy who originally made the spec famous was called Preghierax I believe.
It’s interesting for sure - only played like 3 bg’s but the goal of it seems to be support/survivability. Stacking resil/strength with a SP one hander and a tank shield. Seem to take a while to kill and do decent damage/much better healing than a straight prot or ret spec

0/28/43 Ret/Prot Hybrid that uses a 1H spell damage weapon and shield. Or some approximation of that spec at least.
Preg doesn’t really shine until wrathful/ICC gear.

The only hybrid you’ll find afaik, is prot warr revenge build and some warlock stuff.
Rest is just clowning.
Good info. Ret isn’t hitting the way I wanted it to and I play holy in pvp so looking for an alternative (haven’t tried prot yet)
…Why would it not be called Pret? That’s actually a combination of the two spec names. “Preg” just seems stupid, and seems to imply something totally different than intended…

Because this guy invented it supposedly.
I finally completed my ret pvp set and went preg. It’s absolutely insane. Kinda hard in bgs but in 2s it is a blast. It is impossible to beat a preg as any mele class 1v1. Casters can kyte it all day just as it can any pally tho.
Meh, that’s dumb.
