… go ahead and say I wear a tinfoil hat but I kind of agree with him. I’ve always said Premade Group Finder was Blizzard destroying guilds. Now that you can raid Mythic using that thing solidifies that stance in my head.

I never saw any posts on this forum from people asking to totally remove master loot - if you can link me some and then show they are also trying to destroy guilds then I would be interested. And btw, just how are these people trying to destroy guilds and what would be their motivation ?

No one asked for ML to be removed. Even the trolls who got on the anti-ml bandwagon after the announcement were surprised to hear of the decision.

Yup. Same with that HeelvsBabyface guy.
He used to be somewhat entertaining but now it’s just rapid fire BS video spam aimed at nothing but pulling as much cash from his viewers as possible.

He’s up to 4 or 5 videos a day now and even brags about how much Blizz is making him ATM.

Had to unsub / block him. enough is enough.

Maybe the video is awesome and true, but if you can’t put it in your own words, or state what you believe is awesome and true from that video, I’m not wasting time looking it up to watch it.

Seriously, if you have an argument, make it. Don’t rely on us to look it up and work out what you’re trying to say.

He is a decent analyst of the game but he pretty much spoiled his video by ending with the conspiracy theory about players wanting to kill the guild system and associating it with the change in master loot.

Many have said that guilds aren’t as relevant or meaningful but I don’t recall seeing many messages on these forums calling for Blizzard to do away with the guild system. I’m guessing this may be more of an EU issue, and not in NA (or Asia where the majority of WoW gamers are located), and also representing his parochial interests.

That said, I wouldn’t be surprised if Blizz reinstated master loot if it doesn’t slow raid progression as expected. We’ve only had one raid so far. Is that enough data? Sure, the ‘oppressed’ piled on in the forums when the change to master loot was announced. But that people believe Blizz’s main goal is to prevent shady raid leaders from victimizing raiders is kind of funny.

I still don’t understand the issue that required them to remove master looting. The number threshold to enable it was high enough that it wouldn’t be an issue in PUG raids. I guess maybe with cross server raids, is the loot type listed when you post your raid? If not fixing that would have solved the issue but to be honest, who would join another guilds raid if they knew they stood pretty much no chance at loot?

I went thru master looting throw launch thru Wraith and I have now experienced personal thru the last two expansions. I understand the desire for master looting as it is great to fill holes or help out a guild member who really badly needs an item.

Perhaps if they better tuned what is and is not an upgrade so personal loot was easier to trade. We trade pieces pretty often in my guild but there are times when a piece really isn’t an upgrades (generally due to bad traits or secondary stats) and you just can’t trade it, even thu it would be a nice upgrade for someone else.
