Preach and Asmon are both done

Did Asmon ever say he’s done with WoW? Because last I heard he said he’s still playing WoW even if he’s also streaming FF14.

People seem to forget its possible to play two or more games at once and Asmon’s twitter says nothing about permanently leaving WoW.

Preach really made content digestible in Legion for me

Sometimes Asmongold is a bit much but he’s takes aren’t always terrible and sometimes he makes me laugh

I see them do something and it’s like “hmmm maybe I will log on and do x activity it looks fun” and I’m most certainly not alone. It happens with lots of games and creators - not just WoW. Speedrunning inspired me to give Undertale, Celeste and many other games a try - games I would not have engaged with had it not been for the content creators playing them. I’m not alone in this mentality. Of course there are games I play on my own without needing streamers but discovering new games and old passions from streamers is a relevant aspect of content creation.

That’s an organic stimulant/call to action that Blizzard has now lost completely.

It’s fine if you personally don’t like them or don’t see their value, but losing these two as content creators will hurt the game. This also encompasses Madseasonshow and others from other games who are backing away from their games.

Asmongold has likely banked over 10 million dollars at this point. WoW is not his

Yea, he said he might be playing later with his guild. On one of his latest streams he showed his chat his account and it showed that he didn’t play WoW for 8 days. He is just really enjoying FF14 right now. He said he will be back to streaming it once things change.

Asmongold has 40k Twitch subs. This isn’t even counting all of his other revenue like sponsorships, etc. He is set for life.

It was stupid that they got special treatment but it’s also stupid not to realize why.

Not bad for us, bad for blizzard. They lose out on what was basically free advertising and marketing for their game from people that had large audiences.

The company formally known as blizzard doesn’t care about the game (or their employees apparently) so that makes it hard for anyone else to.

A lot of us that have been around forever have just ran out of reasons to stay, I’m going to take my good memories and leave before the game turns into the woke dumpster fire that it’s undoubtedly destined to become

Preach yes I am shocked actually because it was so sudden. Asmongold, I am not too sure about that, he still covers wow news

Preach has said for the most part he will still raid log to play with friends and he is not really enjoying the game right now .

Most of the I am done is in regards to covering WoW as a streamer.

I bet you wish you could be a millionaire off it too, don’t act like you wouldn’t.

Dude people said the game was dying in TBC too, this will also pass. The fact that all the largest content creators who reach millions of people are quitting means nothing, the game is fine! I’m having fun at least!

Hard to like the game when they don’t put the players first. They say “play my (chore) systems and have fun”

There’s people out there that have such a juvenile concept of money and success that of course they’d love to be a millionaire by becoming a streamer.

I think anyone who has a healthy respect for wealth and wealth creation and a value to their own personal happiness has taken a more prudent look at the realities of it: being ball & chained to a computer for the better part of 2/3 - 3/4’s your day, 4-6 days a week, and having to live and perform as a cartoon version of yourself for the majority of it. Completely disregarding any desire or healthy respect for ones own privacy.

I don’t think well-rounded people sit there and dream of becoming a millionaire streamer any more than they do an actor/actress or popular musician, given the overwhelming majority of them have and lead less than ideal lives. But I digress, to the vapid, money can be everything.

Wrong, he’ll stream whatever he enjoys playing. Money is not a motivating factor for him. Right now he’s enjoying FF XIV and New World.

Anyone smart enough to write a paragraph, should be able to tell that they just keep dragging this thing out endlessly because it is successfully clickbaiting all of you guys into obsessive behavior.

Asmongold is simply bad at the game. I honestly dont know much about the other dude, other than that he just raids. And although you didn’t mention belullar, he’s literally just a casual who has no idea what he’s even talking about.

Why you people watch any of these guys is beyond me.

It’s the cult of personality.
They’re sycophants.
They latch onto others because they are lacking anything of substance within themselves.
