Is it the same as before? We don’t get the code until we got the box a couple weeks before release?
Yeah, but then you never actually get refunded for the digital version you buy. It is reimbursed as battle.net balance… so essentially, with that solution you pay the “base edition” digital price $49.99USD + “collectors edition” ~$202.99 shipping… (~$250 total in before tax) and your left with a $50 balance that you have to spend in battle.net store.
Really the only thing I want access to right now is the level 70 character boost. Season 4 is going be a little dry with no new dungeons/raids and is the perfect time to try out a new toon…
Blizzard CS - plz fix.
I’d much prefer my difference credited back too my CC and not be dumped in a Bnet Balance…which I have no real use for since you can’t use it too buy the promotional 6 month sub with mount products with it…cause those sub have to be recurring sub…
I personally just want to know how this box is gonna be sent out in a way that I get it before that 3-day early access that it promises with the Epic edition.
I’ve never bought one of these collector’s editions before, and this is my first one. But I realized after I made the purchase that the code is probably in the box, which is honestly stupid.
Since we are pre-purchasing it, if we had our accounts linked to the store page, it should instantly give us the digital rewards and then they just don’t fill the box they are sending us with the digital codes.
And to be fair, what exactly are they waiting on to send the collector’s edition boxes in the first place? Before it would be because there was a physical CD with the game on it, but now it’s all digital. We’ll be downloading the stuff in an update patch before the game is even available as it is.
It’s worst. You get reimbursed with BLIZZARD BALANCE…
Sorry I will not buy this without it automatically discounted at the time of prepurchase.
Because it’s a symbol of the Alliance, the favored faction.
I am not sure what you mean by parcel service but I have canadian friends who, pre-covid, rented an american post office box for their amercian ebay and amazon orders and then just nipped over once a month to pick them up.
Thanks Bidenflation!
Yeah that how it should be get discount if you already owned “War Within”…they know who does own it now…
I tried to resell my 15th anniversary for years brand new, and no one wanted … lol
Not providing us the product key code before shipment arrives, literally devalues the idea of pre-ordering.
1: I am paying for Beta Access, but cannot get it, because it won’t arrive until a few WEEKS before launch, at best. Beta is going to start MONTHS before.
2: You are able to know which product codes have been activated, and to which accounts. If someone activates it, and then refunds the order, it is not difficult to revoke the product key they activated, and remove the things they may have utilized. Or, make it non-refundable upon redeeming the key. Just don’t ship physical cards with key codes in the Collector Edition boxes.
3: It is NOT a valid response to say “Buy the Epic Edition now, and we’ll refund you to your BLIZZARD BALANCE when you get the physical collector’s edition”. I should not be out an extra $115 CAD + Taxes, just to get what I have paid for already. I have dealt with this hoop jumping in the past, when the CEs and digital versions didn’t cost half as much. Now it is not financially reasonable.
4: For anyone suggesting to just ship it to somewhere in the USA close enough, it isn’t worth it. Gas alone would kill the shipping cost savings, easily costing $50 in gas for the 4hr trip each way to the international border, and that is the price difference. US Shipping is $20, Canada is $70+ (depends where I guess, I am lucky I suppose being close to Toronto).
5: The people buying these editions are the most die-hard fans of your products, and yet they get screwed over the most. How does that paint a good picture of customer service, franchise loyalty, and… most importantly, respect?
Yep, that’s pretty much my issue. Never did a CE before, and finally did because I liked the statue (my main is a Dwarf Warrior, and the Gryphon was what I used all throughout Vanilla-WotLK). I didn’t realize until after the fact that I won’t get any of the digital stuff until really late, even though the purchase was linked through my blizzard account, so they would know I purchased it.
What they need are 2 sets of boxes. One for those who linked their accounts and activated the products, and one for those who didn’t.
I’ll probably never do a CE again. Very much having buyer’s remorse.
I’ll grab the art book on eBay this time. No desire to have a huge statue in my house and the price is pretty steep.
It’s beyond time for Blizzard to fix this problem. Especially since it’s digital download only and no physical media. We should get the code in a e-mail now and the CE Box later. There is no reason not to give us a code.
Do not pre purchase.
They rushed DF out and did not feel the pressure to fix the game even when it was live.
No silly, that’s not what I meant/said, just have the 6 month sub on your account and just buy game time in front of it, the time gets used before your sub gets charged.
The sub would still be paid for by however you have it set up, it just doesnt get charged until the gametime in front of it gets used.
Having an active 6 month sub, even if you are using game time, lets you be eligible for the 6 month sub rewards.
Ive gotten every 6m reward this way for years, course with tokens being 300kish , this will likely change, lol.
As much as I love collectibles I’ll have to pass on this one. The last time I bought a physical copy of any expansion was Legion and that’s probably for the better.
I would have liked to have known this was coming before I bought the Digital Collector’s when The War Within was announced. I’m a little frustrated that I won’t be able to get the extras here. Maybe release it as it’s own pack so we can just grab it that way?
While it’s not a perfect solution, if you do buy the physical CE, you’ll at least be refunded the cost of your digital Epic edition when you open the box and redeem the code inside. Not a full refund to your credit card, but bnet bucks you can use for game time or anything else on the shop. So if you want the physical extras and don’t mind having ~$90 credit for future Blizzard purchases, you can totally go for it.
Yeah I looked at that statue… na fam. That is like the worst dry brushing/paint job i’ve seen.
