Price is a little steep this year… but couldn’t agree more. This is the #1 issue with player who holds out to buy Collectors Edition.

… I can’t access in-game digital “Epic Edition” rewards until box ships!?

Absolute garbage… I would like a gold plated email with Epic code covered in glitter for this price.

I’m worried. I picked the cheapest shipping and it was 4-7 days. I hope it arrives in time for the 3 day early access. Would be quite sh***y if I didn’t get it, till after it launches.

That statue looks sick af

I have all the boxes on my shelf for every release of the game including Vanilla, and that’s with Collector’s Editions starting with Cataclysm, but sadly ending at Battle for Azeroth.

I can remember waiting in line at Best Buy for Cataclysm, and just after midnight, I was able to get the last CE they had, which got me hooked on getting the CEs going forward. Such an event too, meeting all the other nearby resident wow-heads in line waiting for the midnight drop, though by WoD, only Walmart had the midnight sale and there was only 3 of us waiting. Sadly, those days are gone without the need to go out and acquire the physical installation media.

Back to the CEs though, I was absolutely disappointed with Blizzard when I opened my BfA CE box and found an envelope with links to all the digital downloads. No art book. No Soundtrack CD. No behinds the scenes DVD… just a big box with links in an envelope. “We didn’t put physical copies of stuff…'cause we feel like you collectors, who put stuff on the shelf that you collect, will like to just view everything online instead”. So for the last 2 XPacs, I just get the digital download and call it a day. No more boxes for the shelf. As far my shelf is concerned, WoW ended at BfA.

So, anyway, my sad/whiney tale aside, it looks like there’s some improvement this time around. They added the art book, so that’s cool, and the statue looks really cool. But the price tag is probably going to stop me from getting it. I might have been more tempted if they included the Soundtrack CD and a “Behind the Scenes” Bluray, but those look to be just download links once again.

DO WHAT I DID, BUY THE LOWER version ONE FIRST THEN UPGRADE… TADAAAA ! YOU GET THE DIGITAL STUFF FIRST. sorry caps.

I got my last collectors edition a week or two before DF went live, I have faith they’ll deliver.

I rather spend 100 bucks on a Lich King Shadowmourne replica sword…/rolleyes

Bro, Alpha is right now. There are streamers showing it at the moment.

That’s how it always is though. They offer the pre-purchase for the digitals, and then later drop the collector’s edition. I’ve never bought a collector’s edition until now, but I’ve watched them, and it’s always the same pattern.

oh you can still buy game time, to get the 6 month stuff all you have to have is the 6 month sub on your account, the game time gets used before they charge the 6 month price again.

100.00 shipping to Canada? How can they justify that cost? I’d like to see some kind of explanation. It’s not a 50lb weight. You are not shipping it to New Zealand. C’mon Blizzard, so disappointed.

Just sort of proof Blizzard doesn’t care about the regular players, just the whales.

I’m confused. How will both “ship with the launch of the expansion” and “3 Days of Early Access” work? Won’t it need to arrive at least 3 days before launch?

I’ve purchased the collector’s edition but will seek to cancel if I can’t guarantee I’ll be able to play for the 3 day early access.

No you can’t use Bnet Balance to buy those 6 month sub promotional that includes a mount…years back during Legion when the first one came out with the boat mount we could use Bnet Balance which I did…but the next ones you couldn’t…trust me I tried a few times …they will not allow you to pay for it with Bnet Balance anymore.

This is straight from the horse mouth…Blizzard… It is not possible to pay a recurring subscription with Battle.net Balance, but you can use Balance to buy digital game time. Digital game time can be purchased on the Battle.net Shop and works similarly to prepaid game cards. I want recurring payments.

Used to have them at Barnes and Noble and Amazon. Just a Blizz books related product. Not sure how it will be this go around though.

Nice. Purchased.

Luckily I’m about an hour from the border, so I’m looking into a parcel service where I can have it delivered in the US and I can pop down for a shopping day to grab it and some diabetic food products not available here that family likes…

Because its not just $100 in shipping…
Its $100 in shipping, $7 shipping insurance which is automatically added to the order, plus duties, plus taxes (13%), plus Fedex’s $30-40 “We cleared your package through customs and you don’t have a credit card on file, so we’re going to charge you for that.”

I’m looking at $307.14 CAD plus maybe $10 for the parcel acceptance service, and no taxes because Canadian Border agents know its a waste of time to pull you in to pay taxes unless you purchase alcohol or cigs.

Vs ordering from Gear store, 282+7 insurance +100 shipping + $60 duties/taxes + $40 Fedex. It’ll be closer to $500 CAD. Its just not worth it.

I wish they’d just make it available from Gamestop (old EB Games).

Did you really have to do it like this, with the little TM and R? It’s so douchey
