Ok, tbf though the season also includes m+ and raiding. A fair amount of stuff goes away with prepatch, and it shouldn’t be hard to make a date and announce it. So I don’t see why they would ever stop doing that.
I’d bet a crisp 1 dollar bill that they drop prepatch suddenly or with a days notice. I think the 2 weeks notice thing is a joke, everybody knows that their time is up anyway and should be expecting this thing at any moment

Where it doesn’t matter what the consumer gets, just make sure there’s another product to sell every two years.
We really are in an abusive relationship.
They make the promise that they hear us, they’re going to change. They’re going to reflect on their actions and improve. We invite them back in and at first they tell us how nice we are, give us gifts but what’s this? Old habits start to pop up here and there… But no they’ve changed it can’t be…12 months later we’re in the showeron the floor rocking… Until we hear a knock at the door, “honey, I know I’ve done goofed up again… But guess what, I’ve got a gift for you. A brand new expansion! With everything you ever wanted!”…we walk to the door and respond nervously, “ye…yeah?” We open the door slowly… And Activision Blizzard slams it the rest of the way! “YEAH! AFTER YOU’RE DONE PLAYING 12 MONTHS OF THE SAME CONTENT! NO PATCH FOR YOU! NOW GO MAKE YOUR ALT AND PLAY IT WITH A SMILE!”

Interesting that they made a post announcing the pre-patch will be coming “soon” and yet still no hard date.
Finally. Still hoping for 29th pre-patch.

The last 2 expansions didn’t have a hard date til the friday before the patch.

That shows how much I know about the AWC lol, if that’s the case then I would imagine we could see it any Tuesday now, including tomorrow. I think it would be cool to drop it without announcement when the event itself is supposed to be hectic and unexpected.

BFA pre-patch was announced on 7/12 and went live on 7/17.
It could be either the 29th or the 6th at this point but I would put my money on the 29th as I don’t recall a pre-patch ever coming less than a month before launch.

All I can say is, back in August I joined a group that is running Mythic Jaina with the same 20 people each week. I’m one of the last 2 that has not gotten the mount, so I will get it guaranteed this coming Sunday. If pre-patch falls this Tuesday the 22nd, I might just quit this game.

End of season rarely has a date attached. It’s just typically 2 weeks out from launch. They announce the actual date in another post a few days before launch.

What I meant was a person with 595 achievement points most likely does not care about achievements, and possibly collecting mounts, pets, etc a long with that and so probably does not understand the drive and anxiety about getting the mount before pre-patch.

Patches have always been released on Tuesdays, my guess is the 29th.
