That’s not our fault you chose to come late in the expansion.
i been playing whole time haha , been playing classic since , just no go so much like 5 hour single week , no rush it
There are people who play more than 5 hours per day. I’ve been playing since 2011 and as of now I have a total of 590 days played.
omg that too much !
I’d be okay with that if they released the prepatch on time, and just gave us more time with that. I’m really looking forward to leveling some new characters. I played to 20 on the PTR and loved it. It was more fun than I’ve had leveling in years.
Oh trust me I wouldn’t personally mind if we got prepatch, say, this coming Tuesday or the 29th, it’s just unlikely based on how they’ve been doing things lately from what I can personally recall. From what I understand, though, there’s only two weeks’ worth of content in the prepatch, so unfortunately that also suggests we’re going to have a short prepatch. I don’t see them putting out two weeks’ worth of content to hold over the last four or five weeks of BFA.
But it isn’t just about the pre-patch content it’s also about giving people time to adjust to class changes and try out the new leveling system.

That’s fair I suppose, but at this point the soonest we’d most likely see the prepatch is the 29th - I doubt they would just release the prepatch on Tuesday without a prior announcement of it’s release date, and I don’t think they’d give us only three days’ notice of the arena cutoff and patch release date before it happened. The 29th would leave us with four weeks’ worth of prepatch, which, in my opinion, is too little time to properly adjust to all the changes, so - from my point of view, at least - they’re likely not considering time needed to adjust as a factor in when they release the prepatch.
The 29th is what I’m hoping for since no pre-patch has been shorter than 4 weeks.

Ten days’ notice is a bit short for the arena cutoff, but someone else mentioned it’s been ten days once before, so I suppose it’s possible. If we don’t get a cutoff notice by Tuesday, though, then the 29th becomes increasingly unlikely. They might’ve done ten-day notices before, but I have doubts they’d go lower than ten.
At this point not much would surprise me including less than a weeks notice… like I said we’ve never had a pre-patch shorter than 4 weeks

It wouldn’t surprise me too much if they only gave us 2-3 weeks of prepatch just so they don’t have to redirect any of their workers or time in general towards prepatch problems so they have as absolutely much time as possible to pour into the expansion. I’ve heard from a bunch of different places and people that the expansion has seemed like it has a decent amount of problems that haven’t been ironed out yet, so I’d imagine they want to hyperfocus as much time as possible on finishing the expansion. Releasing the prepatch four weeks before the expansion would force them to redirect resources from the expansion for four weeks.
Not saying I don’t want the prepatch as soon as possible, it just seems like it could definitely be a very short prepatch.
At this point ans how late its getting, I think theyre going to keep up their surprises (giving us things with want with class changes, Arthas and Garrosh in the videos, etc). I think they might just drop Prepatch on us with a short notice. While part of me thinks just maybe they’ll announce it and do like some video game companies have done with a “and you can play it today!” I do think we’ll get a notice. I just think it will be a shorter one that before. Its their choice and they can choose to do things differently at any point.
suit me fine if it were this coming tuesday.
NO idea when or if.
Not sure if i"m eternally hopeful or prepared for incoming bad.
The squish is going to be the greatest thing along with stealing away flying in new expansion again to be granted at some future point when the devs get their petty pound of flesh for basic travel
should they pull off a minimal problem pre patch / pruning / reassure me about flying
More Borrowed power will not be quite as upsetting.
Bork the basic class mechanics, spells, etc,
Bork leveling (especially after stealing away my heirloom xp buffs that I earned and bought with years of blood sweat and tears ) I’m gonna start weaning myself from a game that isn’t where I want to be playing anylonger.
Please make me wrong.
I’m with this guy. Please make me wrong, and bring pre-patch out on the 29th.
@ BLIZZ Plz give us a Drop date for the Pre-Patch
It’s called building hype because it’s a discussion point.
It works on some people apparently. Me, well, my sub runs out next week and I have no intention of coming back until pre-patch lands.
With these key facts the solution is obvious
We do know though its not even that complicated of math to do.
Its called analytics. They havent changed this formula ever
Except you forgot 1 “fact”, 2 week PvP notice. They are breaking the “formula” in one way or the other.
Pre-patch will be October 6th, they won’t drop it in September. The rep bonus runs through the end of September and they won’t drop the pre-patch while that is active.
There’s no way the prepatch comes any earlier than October 6th. They’ve not done an arena season cutoff warning yet, and they always do that two weeks before prepatch.
This is going to be a really short prepatch, which is bizarre considering so much is changing in it.
there is always a first time.
