except for in WOD when it was 11 days, and legion when it was 10 days, so it might be best not to make assumptions based on something that hasn’t been true since 6 years ago.

We do know though its not even that complicated of math to do.
If Shadows is October 27th and Prepatch is 4 weeks before Shadowlands then Pre-Patch = September 29th.
Yes, but have they announced it as fact? We don’t know if it’s going to be the 29th. It’s strongly suggested by the community and not Blizzard. That’s the issue and that’s the problem. I hate to keep banging this drum, but if this was FF14 and they were SE we would know the exact date 100%. I would bet on that.
Since you’re so plugged in when is it? Show me the proof to your claims? I’ll wait.
Its called analytics. They havent changed this formula ever so while its not 100% confirm it is pretty obvious and don’t worry when they do announce it as that exact date next week ill be sure to come back here.
Secondly, announcing a date is meaningless we already know when SL is releasing and that the more important date.
I think that’s why we haven’t gotten a date. Blizzard is crunching and they don’t know when it will be ready.
Outside of the fact that you can still be wrong. No announcing the prepatch date isn’t meaningless as there is currently nothing to do in game and it would be something anything to do.

Last 2 expansions didn’t have a concrete date til 5 days before the patch.
It will very likely be September 29th. They almost always release major patches on a Tuesday.
They will also give an announcement the week before the patch for the guilds still trying to get CE. They always give a courtesy warning so that those guilds can go hog wild for a week trying to get the achievement before it is removed.
9/29 is 4 weeks before SL releases and the pre-patch is historically 4-6 weeks before the expansion launch so the 29th makes the most sense. Likely an announcement this coming Tues/Weds followed by the patch the next week.

It’s not gonna be this tuesday. The latest PTR build is still labelled test. I wouldn’t be surprised if they are aiming for the first Tuesday of October. I mean, that’s not a lot of time between the prepatch and the launch of the expansion, but… I don’t see this patch going live this month.

Regardless of it being on a patch day, they need to announce the end of the current Arena season. No one is waiting for the prepatch announcement, they’re waiting for the end of season announcement, which comes at the end of every expansion, and they give two weeks notice generally.
Given that the 29th is now 10 days away, it’s very unlikely that the prepatch will be then, because they always give people a good enough heads up to make their last ditch effort at making the Gladiator push.

Last two times it’s been 11 and 12 days… I could see it being only a week this time or even less. We’re kind of in uncharted territory at this point since no pre-patch has been less than 4 weeks and we still have no announcement yet. I’m still hoping for the 29th.

Im hoping too! And im one of the many waiting for Prepatch because of alt leveling! I have nothing to do til Prepatch. While waiting, I havent been able to resist working on lower level alts and every single time someone random messages me in game to tell me that:
Prepatch will be here soon, leveling will change, theres no point to leveling now, and dont knock myself out trying to get to 120.
I just want to level and quest. I guess I could transmog run but that gets either lonely or you end up in a group that’s stuck on fast forward the whole time.

I’ve been farming old raids for mounts, transmog and gold. I want to do as much as I can now since the amount of of gold you get from legacy raids is dropping a lot with the pre-patch.

They’ve had plenty of time, and you’re crazy wanting them to delay something the whole player base wants like NOW. BFA is so boring right now, there is nothing to do but run the same crap over and over again.

im not even done with 1 in 2 of it haha maybe ppl just play too much , i hear things some ppl play like 5 hours in 1 week no wonder run out content , it take way more then 5 hour to make 5 hour stuff but u all same time
