But why is it ?
You completely missed the point of this topic and discussion.
They noticed the criticism about dracthyr classes. They addressed it but decided to stick with the exclusivity. The visage or artistic critiques will be no exception
it is way too early to know
no but itâs does show their position on Dracthyr. They donât desire to change what they are doing with it.
My only argument is that the Dracthyr race can only be an Envoker. At the absolute very least they should also be able to be Warriors and Hunters as well. In my opinion obviously and with so much development time left to go I really hope the developers consider that. I mean we get a new race but each and every one is an Evoker no matter what. Doesnât sell me on the race.
From Ion Hazzikostas: âItâs definitely possible down the line. I think itâs exceedingly unlikely that any race other than Dracthyr could ever been an Evoker because you need wings, you need the ability to literally breath Draconic energy to perform any of the abilities. The Dracthyr that weâre meeting are all Evokers because thatâs what they were created by Neltharion to be. That is their unique gift, they can channel the power of all the Dragonflights and this is who they are. Now as they emerge in Azeroth and integrate with the Alliance and Horde over time, could they learn to pick up an axe and be a great warrior, quite possibly, but thatâs not where their story is starting in Dragonflight.â
TL;DR: Dracthyr will be able to be more classes in the future.
I am thrilled to see a return to actual talent trees. Hell, I am more excited for this expansion then I have been for any other since Legion and WotLK before that. Seems like Blizzard is really looking to go down a different path and all we can do is give our feedback.
Thus the reason I created this topic.
So yes, donât make one now. Wait till 12.0 or over 4yrs from now so you can make one in a class you would rather play. Seems to me there should just be a second playable dragon race that isnât Dracthyr also made available for us to play in 10.0.
I want to play the Evoker more than the Dracthyr, and if the Dracthyr get more options specifically for body type I will probably be fine with them; itâs just as of now I am unimpressed by the models and the restrictions on their use prevents me from enjoying the new class.
They said that the dracthyr were made by neltharion as human/dragon hybrid soldiers. They fell asleep or whatever happened along with the other creatures in dragon isles. I really dont understand why people are complaining about this. Honestly the most exciting part of this expac.
I mean in the meta sense: the Dracthyr are just now being introduced into the lore and are immediately are a playable race.
All we know is that its going to be Dragonflight there is still much they didnt tell us.
Agreed, but the point made is that all previous playable races existed in the game or in the lore before they were playable races (in the meta, not in-universe).
Yes⌠I really wish they werenât âa weird experiment that Neltharion made with dragons and humans/elvesâŚâ like, what? Why?
It works SO MUCH better if they were literally just dragons like Ysera and CalecgosâŚ
Such a poor choice of executionâŚ
I also LOVE the body that you showed on the picture on the right. I⌠donât think that Iâll be able to play this race if the bodies continue to look as bad as they do.
i hope we can have Dracthyr Druids(Green dragonflight)
I believe the reason for this was to avoid the massive dragon forms as playable, thus the experiment angle where they can make a new model for the race.
I would not care if it was a dog with a rabbits boddy the height of a human as long as i could play a dragon.
You lost me.
