Yes, something I forgot to mention. We hardly know how their introduction experience will play out so perhaps that story will alleviate some of my dissonance with the race.
I disagree with nearly every suggestion you make, so I wonât belabor the details of everything. NO, no and no again.
The only thing I slightly agree with is âsomeâ more options for the visage form. maybe 2 or 3 of each gender, but limited to races that existed before the sundering, and are native to Azeroth.
Yeah, thatâd be fine, problem is once again, communication.
Theyâve not said anything about it so you might as well take it as there being no plans.
Yup, I honestly wouldnât mind both. Evoker having a black dragon themed tank spec, and doing similar for Shamans.
More options the merrier.
I wish we had a team dedicated to adding stuff like that instead of having to wait years to decades to see something added. Itâs the kind of stuff that should be regular updates to keep the game lively.
Yeah, itâd have made a good healer thing, but having it complement all the other specs would work nicely. Rolling back time to heal or avoid damage or such.
Itâs just a shame we have to wait till datamining finds it.
If theyâre gonna talk about it, show us it and alay fears. Show us what âslightly bulkierâ actually means.
I think itâd be awesome to have a big buff female option as well. It can stay androgynous, just give the physique options, let people pick the head size they want and such. Give people the tools to play their characters the way they want to play them.
Iâd like this as well.
Let the visage be a toggle we control with an autocast function, the text on the official website is already misleading as it says you can freely change, but then if youâre forced to change upon combat, then thatâs not freely changing.
Having all of the main races represented as customization options is also ideal and fitting for the dragon fantasy theyâre supposedly giving us (but not really).
Understandable, have a nice day.
Humans did not exist before the Sundering and neither did Blood Elves, only Night Elves, Trolls, and Tauren.
Unfortunately.
Agreed.
Bronze could have definitely complimented all specializations. Black for tanking while bronze reverses wounds, blue for caster where bronze speeds up casting times and cooldown recovery, red and green for healer where bronze accelerates the rate of the healing.
Agreed.
I think evokers being used by visage or other races would be stupid. Besides they put work into these models. They want them to be the focus. Evokers were designed with the dracthyr model in mind.
The dracthyr being their own thing actually makes sense. Everything doesnât need to be available. Some things should be unique
Disagree.
Let players have the tools to play their characters how they want.
Why?
And the models and that option will remain for those that want them. Adding options is not removing them.
Okay, but increased player agency, customization, and options allow more engagement with the new content that is marketed as a major selling point of the expansion. If the Dracthyr Evokers are limited to just that specific pairing, then there should be plenty of options to vary their appearance and give the players as many cosmetic looks as possible.
This is what I need to see more of. If this is something they can add a lot of options with and keep up the pacing of it I may not have too many issues. Need more to go on with their visual options before I can really judge if Iâll be happy or not. This is really the only segment I want to make sure gets fleshed out and maybe tweaked depending on implementation. Iâm fine with their body styling so far but as with anything itâs very early on.
As for staying in their Dracthyr form during combat? Iâm fine with this, too, as part of the fantasy I can definitely see having powerful animations/feel being tied to it.
that is boring. You are destroying the fantasy. I played a game recently where you can choose paths. if you go demon path you get demon abilities. If you want gold dragon itâs a different path. I canât go demon and be a gold dragon.
If you let everyone do everything then nothing has meaning
Humans existed, but were not numerous enough to establish kingdoms yet, only small groups of them. But they were there.
Elves had already split into country elves and city elves. Queen Azshara was not a night elf. Look at her warbringer short and tell me that was a night elf.
Trolls and Tauren. yes. Iâd love to have a Tauren and Troll options.
Party on, Wayne.
Thatâs not even comparable to what is being asked for here.
I personally wonder if itâs planned to open up the visage looks as time goes on and they have the capability to spend more dev time on it. No real idea but Iâm wondering if more recent events/pandemic had them scale (haâŚIâll see myself out,) things back.
Sheâs literally a night elf. A noble one, hence the Highborn part.
She was the queen of the night elves.
Theyâre the only elves that even existed at the time.
Pretty sure they were still Vrykul at this point, but it has been some time. I cannot find a concrete time-frame though I remember that they sailed from Northrend to the Eastern Kingdoms thus had to happen after the Sundering.
EDIT: According to WoWWiki, Humans left Northrend between 14,000 and 10,000 years ago, so they did exist before the Sundering.
Yes, the Highborne which look like Night Elves but with Blood Elven features. Nozdormuâs humanoid visage looks like a Highborne. In-game, however, the Highborne just use the Night Elf models.
Personally, I would not use them but I am not opposed to the option.
Bad (but appreciated) pun aside, I assume this will be the plan.
Dragon form abilities to non dragon. it is very comparable
Thatâs you opinion of wow fantasy, the game you played is not wow and has different set of rules and lore. I stated multiple encounter where dragon have fought with the player on visage form are you going to tell me you know better than the established lore. And the last statement is just an hyperbole of what is currently discussed
It would be funny if one NPC showed up that looked semi orcish cause Neltharion saw Broxigar. (Still such a missed opportunity for Arms Legion Artifact there.)
